  • Daddy issues are good enough for finales. At least writers seem to think so.

There's not much wrong about another taskforce chasing criminals. In fact, the team of Chase isn't all bad. Unfortunately the episode jumps a lot of holes to make up for a father/daughter story that besides not being very intriguing is also kind of played out. At some points, like the beautiful crater or the chase in the woods actually work. Wade Williams was terrific to see again but didn't get much to work with. The overall mystery was thin and not very exciting. The first murder was sort of original and set up a lot of expectations, none of which were fulfilled because the story quickly got lazy. The father/daughter story was clearly more important to the writers than the mystery the father was involved in. The team splitting up felt amateuristic and there was no chemistry between the leads to speak of.
Still, the show stayed true to it's own abilities and had a descent ending.moreless
