This episode seems to be going in two directions: the mystery and another rendezvous with the handicapped (a la the earlier one about the deaf), with the hapless attempts of Anthony George once again to convey sympathy for their plight. William Windom starts out looking squinty-eyed and mean, but he gets into his usual cool character in the middle of things. Claire Boom has some hammy tantrums, but she's fine when she's in control, and together their scenes are definitely the highlight of the proceedings. Richard Evans also provides Peyton Place fans with a welcome cameo as a 19-year-old glaucoma victim.moreless
