Waiting for Jocko
AIRED:

Jocko, a man whom Dr. Hyatt recommended be remanded to a psychiatric facility for treatment at his parole hearing five years earlier, still holds a grudge, believing that Hyatt wanted him confined for life as a psychopath. On his birthday, Hyatt gets a surprise visit from Jocko, who holds him at gunpoint with the intention of forcing him to concoct nitro for deadly use.

Jeffrey Hunter is nicely wacko throughout this one. But it's an unending mishmash of things Freudian, and the good doctor comes off looking awfully smug and small-minded (at least, he does to me). This episode is also burdened with one of the goofiest soundtracks you'll ever be subjected to; seriously, it sounds like it was dog night at the recording studio (no doubt about it, somebody must've lost a bet). On the plus side, the exteriors at the beginning and toward the end look very cool and New Wave. I also had to let out a laugh at Anthony George's "Who's this guy?" as he gets herded into the lab. Btw have no idea how they ever managed to escape from there at the end (did they reposition a new beaker after the other one fell and broke?).moreless
