This is the first time Coach is bamboozled into buying something from a salesman.

This is Al Rosen's first speaking appearance - he was in the background of many previous episodes. Al's single line of dialogue in this episode - "Sinatra!" - earned him the nickname "The Man Who Said 'Sinatra!'" That was how the writers would refer to his character of Al in future scripts.
