"Cheers" will be moving to the Hallmark Channel in January 2009 when it's contract with TVLand ends. It will join "I Love Lucy" and "7th Heaven" who are also making the move.

"Cheers" on The Hallmark Channel? What's next, hockey on Versus?

I won't get excited until I find out how badly they chop, er, edit the episodes. If they do a good job with the editing then I'll get the VCR ready to tape Seasons 9-11.

Of course, by 2009 they may be available on DVD. Hahahaha, oh I kill myself sometimes!

The syndication versions usually remove no more than two or three pieces of dialogue. You should be fine.
