I am really getting worried that they will not be released. A while back I thought for sure they would, and they were just taking a break. But now, I am not so sure.

I too would love it if the remaining 3 seasons of Cheers would be released. It would make my year if sometime in the near future we got a release date for season 9. Don't give up.

I don't like to bring bad news, nor do I know how credible the post is, but I spotted the following comment on Amazon:

"The last that I heard, Paramount has no plans to release any more of the Cheers DVDs. They claim that the sales dropped when the Kirstie Alley episodes came out and they barely made a profit off of Season 8. Unless sales of Season 8 pick up, they may not release any more."

Hopefully it is not true, but as a poor contingency I was wondering if anybody knows of any channels currently broadcasting "Cheers", and if so which seasons are being shown?

tvland has Cheers on...they're in the Diane episodes now. I wouldn't read into that comment too much. It's hard to believe that the Rebecca series did THAT much worse

Is Cheers being shown in any other countries? It used to be on every day in the UK, but now it never shown.

In Canada, Cheers does not air on TVLand.

But, it does air on The Comedy Network, at 11:00 A.M.seven days a week, at 4:30 P.M. weekdays, at 4:00 PM weekends.

It appears the Comedy Network is about to show season 9. Is there any way people outside of Canada can watch the channel online and therefore find out the show's ending? Or maybe a kind Canadian might be prepared to record it and upload it as a torrent. That would be ideal.

OK ... but one way to pick up extra coin is to sell the entire series package, roping in the buyers who didn't buy the individual years but still like the show and want a bulk discount. The marginal cost is minimal, since all they have to do is have a cardboard box to put all of the individual seasons in. HOWEVER ... can't do that without having allseasons available.

    I'm still hoping!
