She was my least favorite. She was really nasty and I wouldn't want to be her friend.

She was supposed to be nasty. That was her whole character. I kind of felt sorry for her as she had such a tough life in the show. She was great.

I had no problem with her at all. She was easily the funniest female character on the show.

Of course she was nasty by design, but she wasn't always as funny as the writers intended her to be.

My mom sympathized heavily with Diane, so naturally she couldn't stand Carla, her chief nemesis!

I completely agree. If anyone was gonna keep Diane's feet grounded in reality, it was Carla. The fact that they were polar opposites (WASP vs. Italian, poor vs. priviliged, etc.) only made it more fascinating to watch.

Every T.V show you have ever watched, you will notice that the characters are opposites... If all the characters were the same, then the show would suck. It's like real life, life would be boring if everyone had the same interests, likes and dislikes. There would be no challenges, and we as people wouldn't be grounded in reality.. That is why a character like Carla should be appreciated in the show! Plus, she is the comic relief.

Carla was funny on the show, but i wouldn't want a friend like her in real life. I would have to slap her around a little bit.

Hate's a strong word, but if there were one character who had to be pushed off a bridge, she'd be it.

Carla was the best. She had a come back for everything, unless she started it. LOL

Seriously, if I was Cliff, I'd ask Norm to join me at another bar. But knowing the enabling & bar tab system at Cheers, it would be futile (tho they did briefly patron Gary's). I bet poor Cliffy would have gotten an ulcer eventually from Carla. God that woman was such a wench. And she has zero shame, too, which makes discriminating against her pointless. By all logic, Cheers should had been completely abandoned with a waitress like Carla. But how would that be funny?
