  • Trivia

  • Quotes

    • Sam (about Phillip): If he's a great artist what's he doing alive?

    • Phillip: That's the face I've been looking for.
Diane: Sorry, I'm still using it. I could let you visit it on weekends.

    • Carla: Come on, Sam. You know my philosophy: If you can't say something nice, say it about Diane.

    • Norm: I know what you mean, Sam. Once the trust goes out of a relationship, it's really no fun lying to them anymore.

    • Sam: A simple picture of me. It wasn't like it was cheesecake.
Diane: No, Sam. With men it's beefcake. If I posed it would be cheesecake.
Carla: If you posed it would be crumb cake.

    • Sam (talking about being named one of the sexiest bachelors): Besides it gave me a chance to air some of my political issues.
Diane: What political issues did you air your views on?
Sam: I told them I thought nuclear war would be bad news.
Diane: Oh Sam, you stirred up a hornet's nest there.
Sam: Really? Well I can always say I was misquoted.
Diane: Oh, I see when they say eligible bachelors they mean eligible for a brain transplant.

  • Notes

    • Christopher Lloyd, of "Taxi" fame, guest stars as the artist in this two-parter episode. Charles, Burrows, and Charles were the creators of "Cheers," but prior to the bar where everybody knew their name they were working behind the helm of "Taxi." In addition, Ted Danson appeared as a hairdresser on an episode of "Taxi," George Wendt as an exterminator, and Rhea Perlman had a recurring role as Louie's girlfriend Zena. Later on history would repeat itself as John Mahoney and Peri Gilpin would find work on "Cheers" pre-"Frasier", the spinoff of "Cheers."

    • In this episode, Norm mentions The Hungry Heifer for the first time, he says its a new place in town. Thing is, he doesn't like it!

In episode number 200, Grease, Norm flips out when it closes.
