Right after the contest ends and Frasier says "That's something you never hear!", a crew member in a green shirt is clearly visible on the left side of the screen moving a stage light as Sam walks over to shake Henri's hand.
The scenery outside of the office door resembles a white hallway instead of the bar as we've seen in every other episode till now.
Henri: I win? France has won! France has won!
Frasier: There's something you never hear.
Woody Harrelson (Woody) does not appear in this episode.
In the teaser for this episode, Cliff mentions wanting to be selected for the ecopod and Frasier responds that it was designed by Louis Pascal, Lilith's colleague. This reference foreshadows Lilith leaving Frasier to join Pascal in the ecopod two episodes later.
The episode title is a pun of the classic 1960 western movie, The Magnificent Seven, which itself was a remake of the 1954 Japanese film, The Seven Samurai.
Henri: Sam, come over to the dark side.
Like Darth Vader trying to entice Luke Skywalker.
Sam: Every time I try to get out... they drag me back in.
Sam makes this comment when deciding to enter the telephone-number-collecting contest; Referencing the 1990 movie The Godfather: Part III, spoken by Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) when he tries to leave his past with the Mafia behind but is inevitably pulled back in.
