Throughout this episode, Norm mentions that he has a tab at Gary's Old Towne Tavern. However, in the following season in the episode "Little Match Girl", Norm returns to Cheers to help clean up because Gary won't let him open a tab.
Twelve years after the airing of this episode, in 2004, John Kerry would be the Democratic Party's nominee for President of the United States, losing narrowly to Republican incumbent George W. Bush.
During the end credits, Sen. Kerry's name is spelled "Senator John Kerrey."
Norm goes to the phone leaving a full mug of beer on the bar. When he returns in less than a minute it is empty.
Just because he's the same size doesn't mean he wouldn't have gotten thinner, then got fat again. Besides, he wouldn't have been allowed in a bar in high school. *Although*, in another episode he gives a kid in his seat money to go someplace and says he wishes someone had done that for him when he was 12, so another explanation could be he started coming at 12 when he was skinny and got fat in high school.
Norm declares that he's the same size he was in high school, however in the previous episode Sam says at the beginning of Norm's bar tab he was known as "Skinny Guy at the end of the bar".
In Cry Harder, Sam celebrates getting the bar back by erasing Norm's tab.
Frasier and Lilith got married in February 1988. Here it is February 1992, yet they are celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary, not their 4th!
Sam says that Norm's bar tab goes back to when he first started coming to Cheers - but it has been paid off or cancelled in previous episodes, so presumbaly Norm would have started a new tab!
Finally, where were Niles and Martin this time? They didn't go to Frasier's real wedding, or Frederick's circumsion, and now they are a no show at this...
Rebecca says "she will call the state liquor board to renew the license". In Massachusetts, liquor licenses are issued by the individual towns and cities, not by the state.
During the scene where both Clavin and Twitchell are wearing the postal Uniforms, Clavin's has the word Letter carrier above his left Breast pocket, while Twitchell's does not.
Kelsey Grammer's daughter Spencer appears in this episode. She is the eight year old in pink next to Lilith in the bar at Frederick's birthday party.
Notice that the pennants that the kids are waving at the concert say "Nanny Gee" while the banner at Cheers says "Nanny G."
Are those dates mentioned in the episode or airdates. Because sports, news, and many other things can cause shows to be preempted, even *if* they're supposed to air at a certain time. The show might as easily take place in December with his birthday in December. Never go by airdates.
It's Frederick's birthday in January 1992, yet he was born in November 1989.
When the man comes to take blood from the employees, he walks with Norm to Sam's office, they walk around the place where Norm's seat is and no one is at that spot. When Woody walks in, Sam is suddenly standing at that spot.
Cliff does indeed live with his mother. In the previous season she returns from Florida and Cliff doesn't want her to move in with him, so Woody takes her in and Ester Clavin treats Woody as her son, and Cliff gets jealous and takes Ester back in. This occurred in the episode "Ma Always Liked You Best".
Cliff mentions that he lives with his mother. This isn't true unless his mother moved from Florida which isn't mentioned.
The bald-headed John Allen Hill puts on an Elvis wig.
