Chef!: Which of The Three Series Do/Did You Prefer?

My favorite series of all is the first one.

The second series is okay, but without Lucinda, while understandable, made the kitchen feel a bit too lopsided. Lopsided in that only Everton or Janice could bring him 'round to another point of view.

The less said about series three, the better, IMO. Your Mileage may vary, of course.

So? What do you all think?

yes. i agree.
i think it was 1, 2 and 3 in that order. lol

i watch season 1 far more often than the other though.

Yeah, my husband doesn't want to mess with Season Two, but I enjoy it. Mr. Jackson was greatly relieved that Season One comes alone. *g*

i bought the whole series. didn't see any point in just owning one or two seasons since there were only 3 anyway.
and 2 is pretty good.
you've got to admit that "england expects" was pretty good.
"vin du'angleterre?!"
lol

and "a river runs thru it" the scene where gareth hops out of the stream with his waders full of water and does a handstand had me in tears the first time i saw it.

that's also the season where everton gets his signature dish. i thought that was season 1, but apparently not.

I enjoyed Season 1 and 2 the most. Season 3 with the upcoming divorce was rather depressing (but it could be predicted that it would come to this, of course). I loved the episodes Beyond the Pass, The Big Cheese, Do the Right Thing, Masterchef, England Expects the most. "Gaston! Ecoutez moi. Ne passez pas ce line ici, OK? this line, c'est territoire anglaise." lol

I enjoyed Season Two and Everton's signature dish! Crispin made me laugh with his eyebrows that seemed to have a mind of their own and I have to admit that they thought of Gareth in those waders brings a smile every time.

I need to watch them all again to decided, but I think season 3 was good even if it was depressing at times. It was nice to see him have to face some of his workaholism and sexual anorexia and rage issues, instead of just have the constant struggle between "we love each other!" and "but he's totally absent from the relationship!"
