Show Summary

The Chesterfield Sound Off Time was a black and white live variety show that was sponsored by Leggit and Myers Tobacco the makers of Chesterfield cigarettes. The show had alternating hosts, Bob Hope one week and Fred Allen the next. The show did not do well in the ratings and lost it's sponsorship on December 16, 1951 when it aired a preview episode of the upcoming cop show Dragnet . The show lasted a few more months but was canceled in 1952.
