Plot or Not?
Okay, so living in Australia means that I am still playing catch-up with the episodes, but from what I have seen about season 1...

The plots feel like they are coming from a daytime drama more so than a primetime drama. I love how the show has incorporated character interactions about their life outside of the job (missing from some of the popular dramas) but it does create an issue when nearly the whole season arc is based on this. There are moments where I cringe an wish that the episode plot was based more on fighting the fire or rescuing a certain person than about so and so love life.

However, I see potential in this show and can't wait for the rest of the season and next as well.
