Laurie asks Jeffrey for a divorce so that she can marry another patient at the mental institution, Gilbert Weeks, who is a lawyer. Spurred by this news, Jeffrey suggests that Aaron perform an experimental procedure which may cure her schizophrenia. Fearing that he will lose Laurie if she is cured, Gilbert goes to court to stop the procedure. Dr. Kronk becomes a member of the staff, and sees a teen-aged patient of his friend. The patient is diagnosed with breast cancer and refuses to have surgery. Dr. Hancock uses the right approach to allay her fears of disfigurement.moreless
