      • Gadget: You're my only hope. Urging Monty to fight his cheese cravings, Gadget echoes Princess Leia's plea from the 1977 Star Wars film.

      • Capone: Who are you? Chip: Scarface Dillinger. Gadget: And we're Bubbles and Clyde. "Bubbles and Clyde" refers to the Depression-era bank robbers Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, while "Scarface Dillinger" combines the last name of John Dillinger, another famous bank robber, and "Scarface," Al Capone's nickname.

      • Capone: Oh, no, you dirty rat. The head of this mouse gang may be named Capone, but his voice is actually a James Cagney imitation. "You dirty rat" is often attributed to Cagney, but the closest he ever came to actually saying it was in the 1932 film Taxi!, when he said, "Come out and take it, you dirty, yellow-bellied rat, or I'll give it to you through the door!"
