        As Ponch and Bobby pull Amy and the baby from the sinking car, Kathy and Grossie mysteriously appear to watch.

        While Ponch and Bobby help get Amy and the baby out, the car hardly sinks. When everyone's safe and the weight inside the car is reduced, the car plunges down below the surface.

        Kathy Linahan is a motor officer...but in one of the final scenes, she gives Amy a ride in a cruiser.

      • Keenan Ivory Wayans (Roberts) went on to create the sketch comedy series In Living Color. Andrea Evans (Julie) is best known as playing Tina on One Life to Live. Kristi Ferrell (Jenny) went on to play Roxy on The Guiding Light.

      • Starting with this episode, the show has abandoned its traditional cold opens, and begins each episode with a trailer (much like other TV shows of the time).

      • A few weeks after this episode originally aired, guest-star Dominique Dunne was strangled to death by her boyfriend.
