From CHiPs Online: Whenever Ponch and Jon drive down the hill while chasing the stolen cars (first in Jon's truck and then hours later on motorcycles) it's foggy...even though the skies are clear everywhere else. It was even clear when they were skydiving. Just after Jon stops his truck because of the "accident" on the road, we see Bonnie walking along taking a measurement of skid marks. Why? Did someone die? Accident reconstruction teams aren't supposed to be called in unless someone died. How could someone have died when the worst that happened was the truck slowly tipped over? And we know the drivers are OK since Ponch says, "Luckily no one was badly hurt." Before Ponch knows who the ice cream is from, he's about to eat it. Isn't that dangerous? What if someone had something against the CHP and wanted to hurt an officer?
