Glad ya like it! Just so you know, the first half of the series is more comedic than the second half.

My personal favorite is volume 3 (darkness descends)

LOL! You're thinking of the wrong show, although the two are comparible. You are thinking of Chrno Crusade.

Anyway. Yeah... I thought the show rocked too, but (without any spoilers) I thought the ending sucked. But that's just me. The rest of it was good.

I've read 4 of the mangas but only watched 1 episode. It's a really great manga and the anime series is pretty good too. The series has the same basic idea of the manga but they change quite a few things(mostly because they start it out earlier) so he just met shippo and other char. in the first episode. Well anyway the story line is really interesting and it has quite a few twists in it^^.Clamp did a good job on this one.

Well there are 28 total but 2 of them aren't really all that important because the 27th is a recap of everything and the 28th is little adventures between Plum/Sumomo and Kotoko(the two laptop persocoms)I got this info off of this site. This site is pretty reliable so I'd trust that info.

Thanks! Hopefully the numbering scheme I ended up using isn't too confusing. There are:

    24 regular episodes on 6 Pioneer DVD's (Vol #1-6)
3 recap episodes, and the Chibits short on Chat Room DVD's (Vol #7). The recaps are episodes 8.5, 16.5, and 24.5 if you want to know positionally where they belong in the series.

If you're in Australia, they have a different numbering scheme.

    SHIPPO?! Lol.

I've only seen the first half of the series so far. It's really good, it has me totally hooked so far. Hideki is kind of annoying though...

Last night I just finished watching Chobits, and WOW. I'm not going to spoil anything here, but I was amazed. The thing with Dark Chii, and where she came from was really surprising, I thought she was supposed to be an angel or something. I was wrooooong.

And, um, I don't think I can say anything else without giving too much away, but damn. Chobits is probably the best anime I've ever seen. (then again I don't watch too much anime, so I could be wrong on that. XDD) It's able to combine innocence, love, fear, hate, and a bunch of other fun emotion-y stuff all into one conveniant package. And I rarely (actually never ) say this about anime, but the animation was top notch. I totally loved it.
