Chop-Socky's The Prison of Art

Show Summary

This programme was created by Australian comedy ensemble Chop-Socky and broadcasted nationally around Australia on Foxtel in 1999. A narrative comedy shot in the style of a documentary, the story follows the making of an arthouse film being shot in a mental institution. As investors slowly begin to back out of the project, mounting pressures force the producer to make drastic changes against the director's will, gradually turning the fictional art film into a b-grade Martial Arts Tit Flick. In addition to members of Chop-Socky, the cast also featured veteran Aussie comedy actor Geoff Brooks formerly of Fast Forward and Australia You're Standing In It.
