And so with this episode, we say good-bye to Chowder, one of the few cartoon network shows I could watch and laugh at in recent years. In the finale, 20 years into the future, Chowder has refused to grow up and become a master chief, however after Mung shows him the progress of everyone else, he goes to get an apprentice and become a man. For the most part, this was a nice finale for Chowder. I liked the part when mung showed him his friends in the future, it reminded me of "A Christmas carol" like thing. And I also liked how young Chowder came in at the end and rejected his future. Overall, a fitting finale for the show. 9.5/10 Amoreless
  • Best finale ever!

I was worried about this, since the last few episodes (Old man thyme, the toots, Gazpacho!) haven't been as good as i hoped. But this episode made me forget about all that. The episode was funny, with many jokes that made me laugh out loud. There were a few surprising twists (which I won't spoil) and it wrapped up the story of Chowder nicely :) The new character Scraps was very cute (you can expect many a fanfiction stories about him soon) and the old characters like Gazpacho and the wisdom tooth were good too. The ending was very sweet, and all in all, it was one of the best CN finales I've ever seen, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did :)moreless

    • This episode aired during Cartoon Network's brand new CHECK it era. The reason for the show to end with a 30-minute finale was because Cartoon Network Studios needed more room for more original series and cartoon creators like Regular Show without leaving the series in a cliffhanger, creator CH Greenblat ran out of ideas and actor Nicky Jones (voice of Chowder, Ceviche and Scraps) was hitting puberty and is losing his "Chowder" voice as he is getting older. It can be found out that Chowder's voice is slightly deepened before Greenblatt takes over the role as the voice for the Adult Chowder.

Rumors have spread that the series will be continued or a spin-off is planning due to the introduction of Scraps, but it hasen't been confirmed by CH Greenblatt yet.
