I don't know why but Chowder kinda reminds me of Spongebob. Anyways, I looked around the net and found that there is suprisingly a fair amount of debate on this. Which show is better, Chowder or Spongebob? Personally I think Chowder is better. Which one would you put your money on?

I personally love both & not to be rude, but I don't really like these kind of threads

Yeah, I agree, they generally end up with a flame war. Well, IMO, Spongebob is the best and will always be the best Chowder is #2 on my list of favorite shows, but I almost like it as much as Spongebob

That's like asking if I prefer carrot cake with a cream cheese icing or a spice cake with chream cheese icing. IMPOSSIBLE! The only question I could answer is--which one do I want to eat first, Chowder or SpongeBob? My answer is : neither, thanks.

They're both fantastic shows that break ground when we talk about modern animation. And yes, they have a lot to do with each other, specially the fact that the creator of Chowder is one the best writers SpongeBob ever got. Even tho I love both shows, SpongeBob is more classic, and has my vote against any other show

Kingboo's right, they are kinda like cousins, especially since C. H. Greenblatt used to work on Spongebob!

But I definately have to say Chowder. On Chowder, I've only given one episode a rating less then 9 out of 10 (I gave it a 7.5). On Spongebob, there are like 30 episodes that are bad in my opinion. If I had to choose one show out of these two to watch forever, it would have to be a show that would always end with me in a good mood. Definately Chowder.

Spongebob is better. The show is easier to relate to, and I find it more funny and sophisticated.

If this was a physical fight, then Chowder would win, because Spongebob is really weak and is only 4 inches tall.

If this was a mental fight... hard to choose, they're both so stupid (Sponge might be smarter, although both have varying intelligences in different episodes).

Spongbob is lame according to recent seasons. But Spongebob is a legend.

I'm confused, do you like SpongeBob? Because sometimes you act like it's the best thing in the world, and other times you say, "spongebob sucks!"

Actually, it kind of did in seasons 4, 5, and halfway through 6....but they had some, just some good episodes. But it's going back uphill in season 7 IMO.
