  • One of my all-time favorite episodes. (just recently watched it again)

    10
Gary Cole guest stars as Sarah's father Jack Burton. They have a little run-in which Chuck when Sarah catches him spying on their dinner date thinking she was stepping out on him with an older man.

This is one of my favorite episodes because we get a little taste of Sarah's history and get to see how Sarah become who she is today. Gary Cole, whom I love, plays the perfect role as her father too! This one has a bit of an emotional ending but in a good way. Lots of humor, lots of fun and excitement to boot. To me, that's all it takes to constitute a perfect episode and from a fantastic show at that.moreless
  • Chuck I'd like you to meet my dad Jack Burton.

    7.0
I've got to say it was nice to meet Sarah's dad but one thing that continually frustrates is how little we actually know about her life post Chuck, post intersect. We know about and have seen some of her time during the Bryce years, we know when she become an agent and we've seen what her childhood was like not to mention her real name but it's all still in pieces with very few deatails. I'd imagine they're saving the grit for when Chuck and Sarah finally become a couple, again but I want to know so badly.

That being said it's so nice to see them getting backn on the Chuck Sarah bandwagon. Let's just hope they stick it out this time, I know it's complicated but I think it'll be fantastic and just add to the show so wonderfully. The scene where Sarah's dad talks about how Chuck loves Sarah was wonderful and that last scene at the end of the episodewhere Chuck comforts Sarah is very sweet. Plus Chuck's little pep talk to Sarah in her room, could the guy be any sweeter!moreless
  • To con a con artist.

    9.0
Sarah's father turns up and turns the team into con artist's by posing as a seller of a business to a Saudi Sheik for nearly a million dollars but when Chuck connects that the Sheik is funding terrorist's.

Morgan is in deep over his head when Anna wants to move in together. Devon decides to lend Morgan some money but instead buys a car, a back to the future Delorean which turns out to be more trouble than it's worth.

A funny episode and loved the ending with Morgan drooling over the General Lee ( Dukes of Hazzard car )...... Oh Yeah....moreless

  • Sarah's dad shows up

    8.5
Jack Burton, Sarah's Dad pops up in this episode. A flashback revealed a young girl; Sarah was an accomplice to her father. Now out of jail, Jack came to see Sarah, soon revealing he'd conned a million dollars off of a sheik and in the process giving us our case of the week. The General quickly wanted Sarah to exploit Jack's access to him. Jack fit in great with the group, and vice versa, since being an undercover spy and a con artist do pool from a similar skill set. And while Jack's double cross of the group by putting the entire 10 million they'd conned from the sheik wired to Chuck's bank account. Jack got caught by the Sheik and wanted his money back, Chuck saved the day.moreless

  • QUOTES (12)

    • Morgan: (muttering to himself) Where am I going to find 2500 dollars?...Charles! How are you? What is that scent? It's like the beach after it's rained. What is it?
Chuck: Deodorant. What do you need?

    • Jack Burton: Cop-face, you are going to use the gift god gave you, your cop face.

    • Casey: It's not a mission, moron, she's taken a personal day.
Chuck: I didn't realize we got a personal day.
Casey: Well, you don't. We do.

    • Chuck: (On the phone to the police) Yeah, hi. I'd like to report a stolen '81 Delorean. Licence plate is D-E-M-O-R-G-A-N. No. This is not a prank call.

    • Chuck: I'm familiar with Hogan's Heroes and "Castle Wolfenstein", but beyond that my German is a little rusty.

    • Jack: Alright. Sarah and I will handle the deal. (To Casey) Cop-face, you're security.
Chuck: (to Casey) We can switch names if you like. I can be Cop-face and you can be Shnook.

    • Awesome: (to Morgan) You have exactly one day to get my money back to me or I pluck you from head to toe.
Anna: Start with the groin. He won't be using that region for a while.

    • (A car horn sounds)
Chuck: That would probably be Morgan, he's giving me a ride to work.
      Ellie: On what, his handlebars?
Chuck: No. Uh, uh, Morgan--Morgan bought a barely-functioning '81 Delorean that only goes 22 miles an hour. So I'd better get going. See ya!

    • Chuck: Sarah's just bluffing with Beckman, right? She'd never arrest her own father?
Casey: Why not? The guy's a criminal. Been in and out of jail her whole life.
Chuck: Well, he seems to care, though. I mean, at least he's attempted to have a relationship. I don't even know where my own father is.
Casey: Oh, that's sad. You've confused me with someone that cares about your life before the Intersect.

    • Awesome: Permission to speak freely?
Morgan: There are no secrets between us.
Awesome: Would you agree that you have no credit, no life plan, no apartment, no car, no adult responsibilities at all?
Morgan: On rare occasions I do my own laundry.

    • Chuck: (to Morgan about a Nerd Herd car) I need a Nerd Herd.
Lester: No. Emmett found Jeff's underwear on the back seat and he's having them all re-upholstered as a safety precaution.

    • Chuck: (to Sarah) You wanna come over tonight for a fake date with Awesome and Ellie? I promise fake cuddling but real pizza.

When Sarah and her father are trying to get out of the situation with the Sheik, Chuck uses the same ploy to get the Sheik's attention that is used by Lawrence Jamieson (actor Michael Caine) in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. They both use the hotel staff to get themselves a message under their assumed names and when the person calls out for them they snap their fingers to get their attention.
