  • Well written

    9.0
When a diamond hidden in Malibu (owned by a hairy man whom Chuck calls "señor wookiee") is used to fund terrorists, Chuck has to help steal it back. Complicating things further is the appearance of Carina (portrayed by Mini Anden), a DEA agent friend of Sarah's, who tries to help in her own way. I loved this episode, Morgan and Chuck are so funny and really cute. I love Chuck more though, I love the scene were he wants to know something real about Sarah, which is so cute. I also love the first scene were they are playing the little game. I also love all the workers in "Buy More". There awsome. All in all can;t wait for next episode.moreless

  • A not so trustworthy agent and a diamond. Very James Bond. Or actually, very Chuck.

    8.3
I sort of liked this episode. However, I did feel it was more of a filler episode. The plot was okay, but it was the same thing that I have seen in other spy stories. Carina reminds me of all the sult Bond girls I used to mock. It's cute and hilarious when Morgan falls for it, but to believe that Casey did (TWICE!) might be going a little too far. I really thought he was better than that. It really brought down the strength of the character. Sarah mocking him and taking a picture made me giggle though. I'm liking Carina's weapons trunk. It's not even close to Winchester coolness, but it looks impressive. And yet again, Chuck comes up with a plan that looks good at the start, but fails miserably. Spy-work takes time to learn, buddy. The Chuck-Sarah relationship is progressing, something I really like. Chuck's issues with trusting her are dealt with very well. I'm curious to see where they take this. Overall, a decent episode, with a little too much of the been there, done that feel.moreless

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Lester: Chuck, how are you supposed to get any female friction action with him third-wheelin' you all the time?
Chuck: What does that even mean?
      Lester: Sex.
Chuck: Can't you just say that?
Lester: Yeah, I mean, I could. It's just it lacks, uh, flavor.

    • (Carina agrees to date with Morgan)
Jeff: She's too good for him!
Lester: She's too good for the store!

    • Scooter: I'm sure whatever you lovebirds are discussing is a matter of national security, but the ketchup vat isn't just going to refill itself.
      (Sarah pulls Scooter aside)
Sarah: Did you know that 55 percent of accidents occur in the kitchen? And I'm sure most of them are accidents.

    • Carina: Sure you don't wanna come back to my hotel room?
Chuck: Um...as flattered and intimidated as I am by your proposition...why me?
Carina: Well, you're sort of cute-ish. But, um, the real reason is I love taking what Sarah wants.
Chuck: What? Me? No. Sarah-- Sarah doesn't want me.
Carina: Yeah, she probably doesn't even know it herself yet. But, um, I do.

    • Carina: You carry the diamond; I'll act as intermediary. And listen, if we're still alive afterwards, how about we go back to my room?
Chuck: Kind of stuck back on the still alive part.

    • Morgan: Hey, Chuck?
      Chuck: Yes, Morgan?
Morgan: You know what? If our relationships don't work out... okay, 'cause we got each other, don't we?
      Chuck: That's really, really sad.
      Morgan: I know.

    • Chuck: I need to ask you a favor, and feel free to say "no," and by that I mean say "no," but, uh, could you fix Morgan up with Carina? Make sure you really exaggerate "no" so they can lip read it. They're a little lame, but I think they can crack "no".
Sarah: You know, that is a great idea.
Chuck: No, it's not. "No" is the answer. You're supposed to say "no."

    • Morgan: Chuck, I know what a third wheel is. I know it's me. Give, give me a chance here, man. Let, let me be a fourth wheel for once. Or maybe I can be any other even number.

    • Chuck: I just wish I knew something real about you. Can't you just tell me just one true thing? Just... just one thing, like... like where did you grow up? Or...or if that's too much, I get it. I get it if that's too much. Or what's your name? What's your real name?
(Sarah still sits quietly staring at Chuck)
Chuck: Middle name. What's your middle name? Can't you just tell me your middle name?
      (pauses)
Chuck: I'm gonna go and get the napkins.
      (Chuck walks away)
Sarah: (quietly) It's Lisa. My middle name is Lisa.

    • Carina: Now, see that man over there? Payman Alahi: his house, his party, his diamond. For now.
Chuck: Are you talking about Señor Wookiee over there?

Tyrell Corporation is the company that builds the replicants in the movie Blade Runner (1982).

    • Morgan: If Chuck is Solo, Larkin is his Fett!

Morgan compares Chuck and Larkin to Han Solo and Boba Fett, arch-rivals in the original Star Wars trilogy.

    • Captain Awesome: Big Bucks! No Whammies!

This is a reference to the popular 1980's game show Press Your Luck. In the show, contestants would take spins on a board to win cash and prizes, while trying to avoid the "Whammy" who would "steal" the contestants prizes. "Big bucks! No Whammies!" was a popular mantra of contestants as they took their spins.

    • Episode title: Chuck Versus the Wookiee

Wookiees are a fictional species of large, furry creatures, the most famous of which was Chewbacca, featured in the Star Wars movies. As this episode's "bad guy" was literally covered with body hair, Chuck referred to him as a Wookiee.
