  • Season 1 Episode 3: Chuck Versus the Tango

  • La Ciudad's pistol fires with a loud bang when shooting at John and Sarah through the door even though the pistol has a silencer on it. This is actually much more accurate than the silent "pfft" frequently used in films and television.

  • Season 1 Episode 2: Chuck Versus the Helicopter

  • The movie Morgan is watching at the Buy More is Them! (1954).

  • Featured Music:
    "Challengers" by The New Pornographers
"Don't Make Me A Target" by Spoon
"Gone Daddy Gone" by Gnarls Barkley
"Lust for Life" by Iggy Pop

  • It is discovered that Captain Awesome's real name is Devon.

  • It seems highly unlikely that a NSA explosive would have an audible alert to notify individuals of its presence and the imminent explosion.

  • A few minutes into the episode the camera lingers on a Nerd Herd banner with a URL. The website exists: http://www.nerdherdhelp.com/

  • Season 1 Episode 1: Pilot

  • This is the sole episode without "Chuck Versus ..." in the title.

  • This episode and every following episode has someone telling another person "Don't freak out", in this episode Sarah says it to Chuck.

  • An ad at the Buy More says: When you buy more, you save more. And when you save more, you can buy more. And when you buy more, you save more. It all starts when you BUY MORE.

  • Chuck has a movie poster of Tron, a Disney sci-fi picture about a software engineer abducted into a computer world.

  • Chuck has a poster of the Alfred Hitchcock film North by Northwest. In the film, Cary Grant's character is a New York advertising executive whom foreign spies mistake for a government agent.

  • The posters inside the club where Chuck goes to see Foreign Born include Crimson by Alkaline Trio, Crisis by Alexisonfire and a Dashboard Confessional poster.

  • When the camera pans on Casey as Chuck and Sarah are walking to the club, Casey cocks his gun but there is no clip in it.

  • The post-it note is at a slight angle and covers up the Apple logo, however after the Intersect is downloaded into Chuck's brain and he wakes up the post-it note moves to uncover the logo and is now straight.

  • The contact list in Bryce Larkin's Blackberry shows: Zulu Seven, Chino Casino, Jill, Little Longhorn, Red Dawn, Early Mourn, The Unholy One, Florence H, Kooks Allied, Sarah Y, Benjamin K, Tango Five, Orange Corruption, Alpha Two, The Bandage, Tired Camel, Delta Charlie, Cracker Bits, Swiss Cheese, Zulu Commander, Terrence B, Deadly Forest, Robin Egg, Hairy Chicken, Beta Charlie Four, Jester Court, Victor Nine, & Buckles.

  • The courtyard outside Chuck's place looks very similar to the one used for Giles's place in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

  • When Sarah is pursuing Chuck in the hotel lobby through the small pond we can clearly see that after Sarah passes the pond she is wearing flat, maybe rubber, black boots, when in fact she was wearing high heeled boots in the scene before and in the scene after.

  • The ninja who is stealing the laptop is clearly a man's figure, not a woman, as it is supposed to be Sarah.

  • Featured Music:
"A Comet Appears" by The Shins
"Any Way You Want It" by Journey (Chuck's cellphone ring tone)
    "Cellphone's Dead" by Beck
"Cobrastyle" by Teddybears feat. Mad Cobra
"For a Fistful of Dollars" by Ennio Morricone
"Into Your Dream" by Foreign Born
"Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is" by Jet
    "The Missionary" by Brothers Martin
    "See the World" by Gomez

  • When Chuck goes to buy new locks at "LargeMart" he sees Vuc Andric and has a flash where he sees Andric's passport. On the passport it says that Vuc's place of birth is Belgrad, Serbia but the passport is Croatian.
On the passport it says he was born on 06/10/1980 but the personal number says he was born on 06/10/1932.
