The silly siblings decide on which numbers to choose for their lottery ticket. When Paul tells Barry to mark 49 balls from 1-49, Barry labels the balls as 1, 2 and 49. After deciding which numbers to use - and loosing the pound a few times - the duo head to the shops, only to find that it is closed. • The scene in which The Chuckle Brothers first talk about The Lottery was filmed in the McIntyre Road area of Worcester. The scene in which they use the number of a bus as inspiration was filmed in the St Johns area - possibly on Comer Road - again in Worcester. The dancing school and wedding scenes were shot around St. Andrew's Church in Earls Colne, Colchester.

      • Last episode written by both Philip Hazelby and Ramsay Guilderdale. Ramsay was to make one more guest appearance on the show in 1999.

      • This is also the title of an episode of Bodger and Badger that aired just two days before this on BBC One.

      • A song called Silly Me, Silly You can be heard in the background while the Chuckles look for the shoe at the wedding. Although this version was not sung by them, it was later reworked into a full length song, sung by the brothers themselves, for Comic Relief in 1999.
