  • Teresa easily defeats the other Claymores

    10
Teresa easily defeats the other Claymores Priscilla, Illena, Noel, and Sophia, but spares their lives. Priscilla, incensed by her defeat, pursues Teresa and releases too much of her Yoki during the ensuing battle against Teresa. She awakens, killing Teresa and her former comrades. • A shocking conclusion.

    9.8
Teresa is still fighting against the other Claymores. She has the upper hand, despite being outnumbered and she hasn't even used any of her Yoma yet. She beats them all, she wants to kill Priscilla because of her latent potential but spares her and leaves. Priscilla gets really angry after and goes after her. She powers up to 70% of her full power (using Yoma) and Teresa warns her that if she goes past 80% she will not be able to revert to her human form. She overpowers Teresa and Teresa decides to use 10% of her Yoma power and beats her. Priscilla asks for a quick death and Teresa does so, but Priscilla sneaks up on her and cuts her hands off when she doesn't expect it, then finishes her off. Priscilla goes to her 100% form (they call her Awakened One). She kills the other three Claymores: Irene, Noel, and Sophia with ease. For some reason, she spares Clare and runs off. Clare is really sad at Teresa's death, and finds the man in black cape and asks to have Teresa's blood injected to hers, to become a Claymore.

This concludes the flashback episodes. It was excellently written, and we get to know Clare's past and how she became a Claymore.moreless
  • More great fighting and a heartbreaking conclusion to the flashback episodes.

Well this episode pretty much picks up where the last one left off. Teresa still has the enforcer team on her tail and yet again shows us her complete superiority - that is until Priscilla loses her mind and proves to be a much greater challenge than before.

These past episodes has given us some great insight into Clare's past and character and at this point we can't help but to feel greatly attached to both Clare and Teresa - which makes this episode that much more emotional. I think most people can figure out how this is going to conclude, but deep down we all have a strong desire to see their happiness live on. And this episode plays on that feeling of hope and takes full advantage of it. For a moment we feel relieved - maybe that fatidic moment doesn't have to come yet - and then *boom* everything comes crashing down. We all knew it was coming but in the end we're still shocked. *2 thumbs up*

If your heart doesn't wince with sadness even a tiny bit then I don't know what will.

    Enjoy.moreless
