Teresa: Oh my gosh, I'm gonna start crying.
Peter: They called it the junk-drawer room.
Man at Yard Sale: (buying Michael Jackson picture) I'm not buying this and I can't be on TV buying this.
Tava: Talk to me, Buttercup. I may have to give her mouth-to-mouth, it's true.
Edward: Buttercup is going down.
Edward: It's just one of those comfort creatures that I have.
Peter: This is way too much. Teresa: Why?
Teresa: Our six-year-old swallowed that Lego. Peter: This is going.
Peter: Save the outrage, guys. You'll be fine.
Teresa: Keep, keep, keep. Tava: That's not the right answer. Give me your wrist.
Tava: So what's up with these and why is there money sticking out of a plant?
Edward: We need a power Clean Sweep.
Edward: We don't think it's anyone's fault.
During the closing credits, Edward and Teresas' sons William and Eddie were shown taking a look at their new room. Normally on more recent original broadcasts, a promo is shown during the closing credits, but this segment was left intact.
The title references the slogan of the US Marines: "The few, the proud, the Marines."
Clean Sweep on the Street: Peter helps a woman with her packing for traveling. He suggests using small bottles that are easier to store, rather than the large bottles she's currently using.
The chosen yard sale prizes in this episode were a costume-head of Buttercup from The Powerpuff Girls for Teresa and a pair of baby shoes for Edward. Teresa sold $265 worth of stuff as opposed to Edward's $215 and kept Buttercup, a Halloween costume designed by her sister.
