Peter: It's gonna be fifty kids within the hour.
John: Now the problem is we're going to have too many guests coming.
John: This is worth $200. Karen: Hey, you already sold the guitar. Get out of here.
Karen: Did you really just sell the guitar? John: Two Bettys in my case. Karen: Oh! I'm never going to catch up.
Karen: Don't touch the desk. It's my grandfather's and it's my sale.
Karen: I might wanna have another baby. Peter: With whom? Karen: You.
Peter: (regarding a headless stuffed bunny) This could give some poor child nightmares for years. Sell it.
Peter: (regarding Molly) She's lost her mind. Paint fumes. Designer stuff.
Molly: A sunny Colorado day. They're gonna love it.
Peter: Just tell me what goes on in this room. Karen: Nothing! Can't you tell?
John: All the stuff I have has a functional use or would-be use.
Tava: Karen and John --- your secret's out. It's time for a Clean Sweep.
At the end of the episode, viewers got to see Karen and Johns' sons checking out the playroom.
The title refers to the fact that the homeowners are good friends with designer Molly Luetkemeyer. Having a friend in Clean Sweep does indeed seem to have its advantages, as the sort with Peter seems to go fairly smoothly (although he still does his job well) and Molly is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable in her designs of the rooms.
The cost of the playroom was nearly double that of the guest room, but the overall figure of $1850 was well under the mythical $2000 budget.
Peter declared a 20 minute initial sort with Tava, rather than the usual 30 minutes.
Clean Sweep on the Street: Peter goes through a woman's handbag, recommending separate packs for the various disorganized items she has.
The chosen yard sale prizes in this episode were an African mask of Karen's and a pair of large speakers for John. John sold $359 worth of stuff as opposed to Karen's $225.50 and kept his oversized speakers.
