"Good-bye, T-Bone"

Clifford and Cleo are playing a game of "Red light / Green light" by the beach. Clifford gets a little too enthusiastic, bounding wildly on a green light, causing him to slide into the water when "red light" is called and he has trouble braking. He asks Cleo to be the car next. Then, Cleo overhears a discussion between Sheriff Lewis and Pedro. Pedro is providing Sheriff Lewis with moving boxes. Sheriff Lewis tells Pedro that he's moving tomorrow. Sheriff Lewis is moving tomorrow? That means T-Bone is moving tomorrow! T-Bone's leaving the island! Cleo races to tell Clifford. Out of Cleo's earshot, Sheriff Lewis continues that it's just a couple blocks, so he can be closer to the sheriff's station. Cleo reports the news to Clifford. They both agree they're going to miss T-Bone. They're surprised that he hadn't told them, but they figure he just didn't want them to be upset. They decide they'll make this day the best day of his life. They find T-Bone at his house. There, Clifford gives him an ultra-warm greeting, to his surprise. To his further surprise, Cleo gives him her hedgehog toy. She wants to have it to "remember him by." That is, in case he ever forgets her. They ask what T-Bone wants to do. They'll do anything he wants. So T-Bone has them go to the butcher shop. They stare through the window and then the owners give them bones. Clifford's given a huge bone, which he gives to T-Bone. T-Bone can't eat it all by himself, so he asks Clifford to help him and Cleo helps too. Then, they go down to the beach. T-Bone's enjoying laying in the sun, which causes Cleo to comment that he can also lay in the sun off the island... not that he'd ever move off the island. Clifford asks him if there's anything he wants to do today. Something really special, something he's always wanted to do. T-Bone's always wanted to fly. So he gets hooked up to Clifford, who twirls him 'round and 'round as if he were flying. Clifford and Cleo make more suggestive comments, which cause T-Bone to wonder what's going on. Then, Clifford says that they should go up to the lighthouse, one last time. One last time? They all go to the lighthouse and enjoy the view of the island. Clifford says that they used to do some great stuff on Birdwell Island and rehashes a number of things that they've done in past episodes. T-Bone wonders what's up with the "used to" stuff. He finally gets it out of them that they're doing all of this because he's moving off the island. T-Bone explains that he's just moving down the street. At first, it doesn't register, but then they both celebrate. They apologize to him, particularly Cleo. She promises that next time she'll get all the information before passing it around. She has one other thing to say - she wants her hedgehog toy back. T-Bone looks like he doesn't want to give it up at first, but then everybody laughs.

"The Truth About Dogs and Cats"

T-Bone is getting toys from his doghouse and gathering them a gigantic pile. It's a lot of toys and two kittens watching from a tree in T-Bone's yard certainly think so. They laugh. T-Bone hears them laughing and wonders who's there. Then, he sees them. T-Bone doesn't like this. He's heard that dogs aren't supposed to have cats in their yard. The kittens don't understand why T-Bone's barking at them and think that he wants to play with them. Clifford comes and Cleo slides down off his back. She wants to play hide-and-go-seek and decides to use the tree as base. T-Bone tries to get them to go somewhere else, but it's too late. Cleo notices the cats in the tree. T-Bone tries to pretend like he didn't know they were there. In any case, dogs aren't supposed to have cats in their yard. She thinks if they bark real loud, maybe they'll go away. So they bark at them, but the kittens are just amused. They think the dogs are singing and dancing. They especially like the big, red one. T-Bone laments that he just can't have cats in his tree. Cleo comes up with another idea. Cats chase mice, so they'll just have the cat chase a mouse out of his yard. She pretends to be a mouse, but this doesn't work either. The cats know she's just pretending. They think the dogs are putting on a play and Cleo's a woodchuck. Cleo sees that they're clapping and quips that they know talent when they see it. T-Bone asks Clifford and Cleo if they're sure they have to get rid of the cats and Clifford and Cleo strongly agree. They know that cats are afraid of water, so they'll use the hose in the yard to get them down. This fails because the hose gets a knot in it and the water builds up. It ends up spraying all over Clifford and Cleo. They yell for somebody to turn it off. Billy and Betty see what's happening. They race down from the tree and to the dogs', surprise, they turn off the water. They talk with the cats. Cleo says that she thought that cats were afraid of water. But Billy and Betty love water. Cleo asks why they didn't chase the mouse. Betty tells her that they knew she was just pretending. Billy continues that not all cats chase mice. Clifford comments that they aren't at all like they thought they were. The dogs realize that you shouldn't judge someone before you get to know them. Clifford wonders just what it is that they do like to do. So the kittens tell him: they like to play, especially tag. So they go ahead and play. The kittens, Cleo and T-Bone call "not it," so Clifford is "it." They start their game.moreless
