"Friends Of All Ages"

A new neighbor moves into Clifford and Emily Elizabeths' apartment and brings her dog Tricksie with her. Tricksie is an older dog and Clifford doesn't understand at first why she doesn't want to join in some of the fun activities that he does with Jorge. After spending some time with her and getting some advice from Daffodil, Clifford and Jorge learn that even though Tricksie might get tired easily, they can still be friends and she has a lot to teach them.

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • In the Clifford the Big Red Dog story "The Big Sleepover", it's said that it's the first time that Clifford has been away from Emily Elizabeth for the night, but "Clifford's Super Sleepover" directly contradicts that. Not only that, but in "Clifford's Super Sleepover," Clifford creates a huge ruckus and can't sleep at all through the night, whereas in "Clifford's Super Sleepover," although he's lonely, his friends are able to distract him and he eventually ends up going to sleep peacefully.

    • QUOTES (12)

      • Emily Elizabeth: Oh, Clifford, I missed you so much! But I had fun. It really was a super sleepover. And it looks like you had your own super sleepover too.

      • Norville: Oh, hey, little Red, don't you even worry about it. She's havin' lots of fun. Oh yes, she is. She's probably having so much fun that she's gonna sleep over another night!
        Daffodil, Flo and Zo: Norville!
        Norville: Oh, sure...
        Daffodil, Flo and Zo: Norville!
        Norville: What?!

      • Daffodil: Flo, Zo. I'm so glad you're here.
        Zo: You are?

      • Daffodil: Let's go play in the living room. (to herself) Boy this is going to be a long night.

      • Daffodil: Okay, Clifford. What are the chances you'll stop making those loud noises long enough for me to eat my snack in peace?

      • Tricksie: Oh, but best of all, after all of those years traveling with the circus, now I get to live the quiet life with Mrs. Z.
Jorge: But after all that excitement, isn't living here boring?

      • Daffodil: Just because someone is different from you doesn't mean you can't have fun with them.

      • Tricksie: I get tired a little faster than you pups do.

      • Jorge: Hey, Tricksie, why don't you have a turn?
Tricksie: Because I'm having fun just watching you having fun.

      • Clifford: Wow! Tricksie, that was a great idea. How did you think of it?
Tricksie: Oh, honey, I used to do it all the time back when I was your age.

      • Clifford: Tricksie! Tricksie! Oh, gee. I guess moving here really tired her out.

      • Mrs. Howard: Goodness. Clifford certainly is excited to meet our new neighbor.
Emily Elizabeth: I bet our new neighbor has a dog.
