Emily Elizabeth makes a painting for an Art Fair, but when Clifford starts a game of ball with kittens Flo and Zo, he ends up getting into the paint and getting pawprints all over her painting. Flo and Zo convince him to try and hide what he did by rolling up the painting, but he feels guilty about it the whole night as Emily Elizabeth sleeps. The next day, Clifford slips into Emily Elizabeth's backpack and goes with her to still in an attempt to warn her about what he did to the painting. At school, he tries to show her what happened, but his small size keeps him from even finding her. He's eventually discovered, but by the time Emily Elizabeth figures out what happened, her painting is being hailed as a masterpiece at the art gallery. Emily Elizabeth gives him the credit he deserves and back at home, Daffodil praises Clifford for his braveness.

"Hup Hup"
When Emily Elizabeth asks for help figuring out what's wrong with her flower garden from Jenny, a horticulturist who happens to be blind, she lets her guide dog, Bibi, play with Clifford. Clifford is happy to have a new friend, but when she later ignores him when she's busy assisting Jenny, Clifford doesn't understand why she won't play with him. All of Clifford's friends begin to think that Bibi must be some kind of snoot and Norville even goes so far as to spy on her when she goes about her daily business. Eventually, Clifford simply just asks Bibi what's going on and meanwhile, Jenny solves the problem that Emily Elizabeth was having with her flowers.moreless
In the scene in "Paw Print Picasso" where Clifford talks to Daffodil about the painting late at night, Daffodils nose turns black as she goes back to sleep.
Clifford: So the best way to be your friend is not to bother you when when you're working. Bibi: And to please play with me when I'm not. Okay with you, Clifford?
Bibi: Guide dogs can't play when they're working, ever.
Norville: Oh, you poor little puppy. You know, sometimes I just hate bein' right.
Norville: Listen up, Pup. I spent the whole morning following your "friend" (he uses his wings to make quote marks) Bibi around, you know. I just wanted you to find out what she's like and you wouldn't believe what I saw.
Daffodil: Why is she ignoring Clifford? Flo: Mmm, dogs, go figure! (Jorge shoves his nose in her face.) Uh, some dogs.
Emily Elizabeth: How can you tell what kind of flowers they are if you can't see them? Mrs. Howard: (stern) Emily Elizabeth. Jenny: No, that's a good question. Let me ask you one. Can you name the plants in my garden?
Daffodil: For such a little puppy, you're pretty brave.
Museum Curator: There's this extraordinary use of colors and patterns. Emily Elizabeth: Colors? Patterns?
Nina: Emily Elizabeth's painting is... running out the door!
Clifford: (mumbling in his sleep) Oh, it's my fault. Oh, I'm sorry, Emily Elizabeth.
Flo: Now Emily Elizabeth will never know what happened! Daffodil: Yeah, until she finds out at school.
Clifford: Oh no! Emily Elizabeth's painting! Zo: I think it looks kinda cool!
Clifford: Emily Elizabeth's a great artist. Daffodil: Yeah, she is. I especially like the way she painted... me.
Close-captioning throughout "Hup Hup" spells the name of Jenny's guide dog as Bibi, but the closing-credits give the name as Bebe.
