Like the user before me, this was one of the best

Episodes of the show as well as showed a More humble and personal side of Annabeth as to why

She became a lawyer. She believes in justice but in order

To get justice you have to do it in the right

Kind of way. Sad that arrogant rapist Alex got away while

The good guy went to prison for confessing to a crime that

He didn't commit after all. Justice delayed is justice denied IMHO.

Annabeth is prosecuting a guy for raping someone 11 years ago but when arrested he cuts a deal by mentioning there was a second rapist who had drugged her and raped her while she was passed out.

The first guy who cut a deal was trying to make amends hence the title and had really changed but still he confessed and went to jail for 4 years but the 2nd guy Alex was acking confident knowing there wasnt much evidence.

The defence call Ellen pinter the woman who was raped as a witness. As she was drugged at the time she cant testify that Alex drugged or raped her and had to admit she hadnt seen him before. She was crying at this point and Annabeth looked like she was gonna cry to. So you know its coming and its not surprising that the jury finds Alex not guilty. Its almost like the good guy goes to jail and the bad guy gets out (put in very simple terms). But it had me hooked for the first time in quite a few episodes.

It helps you to see more into Annabeths character to, the defence attorney for the first rapist points out that Annabeth sees everything as black and white, but maureen adds you just see lets shades of grey than everyone else. Also when Conlon tells Annabeth the term of the deal with the first rapist she is so mad and basically says she lives for justice and this goes against it, she almost looks like she could cry again here but goes ahead and does it because its her job. At the end Annabeth points out to Ellen its only a matter of time until ALex does something else and then she'll get him. :)
