Goof: In this episode, a powerful drug lord targeted a family for execution when the father failed to continue to supply him with chemicals for meth-amphetamines. The wrong family is murdered because of a mistake in addresses. The address of the murdered family is 1651, but the correct address was 1657. These two homes were across the street from each other, but this is unlikely to happen in the real world where addresses alternate odd numbers on one side of the road and even numbers on the other. Hence, 1651 and 1657 would be on the same side of the road, not across from each other.
Possible Explanation: The above may be true, but if the houses were on a narrow cul-de-sac, they could be numbered sequentially yet still face each other across the street. Such planning schemes became common in outlying areas of Midwestern cities starting in the late 1940s.
Steve: (to Annabeth) Remember, we're trying to get to Wolfe without TJ Hey, you're the one who wanted to have her cake and eat it too.
Jack: (to Annabeth) You got your dumb kid, you got a guy that squeezed the trigger, and you got the guy that ordered the killing.
Maureen: What a horror show. Coming home and finding your family killed for no reason.
Annabeth: What are you thinking, home invasion, robbery, drugs?
Lou: Well, they're all on the menu.
Annabeth: He's orginally from Iran.
Steve: Iran? (Steve scoffs)) Well then he's long gone.
Steve: Richard Wolfe is the Moby Dick of meth, he is the whale.
Annabeth: You murdered two women in the course of an armed robbery, we're not interested in a deal, unless you're giving up Osama Bin Laden.
Annabeth: That poor man's gonna spend the rest of his life beating himself up for not being at home that night.
Jack: Well, I would too.
Maureen: Dealers are making as much, or more, from ID theft as from drugs.
Charles: Dude, what did you just do?
T.J: I took a leak.
Jack: What did Wolfe get?
Annabeth: L-WOP.
Jack: Life without parole, I like it.
Maureen: Junkies will take anything.
CBS decided to move the struggling "Close To Home" to Friday's and "Threshhold" to Tuesday's. The ratings for "Close To Home" improved and "Threshold" was eventually cancelled.
Moby Dick
Was written by Herman Melville in 1851 and follows the hardy crew of the Pequod, led by Captain Ahab, a Quaker, on a whaling expedition that takes them around the world. The expedition soon degenerates into a monomaniacal hunt for the legendary "Great White Whale", as Ahab seeks revenge on the animal that cost him a leg.
