Lacks originality. Desperate Housewives had this plot line last year. However, \"Suburban Prostitution\" was carried out well. Annabeth, as always, knew what to do. The subplot with Maureen was very good and brought up an interesting issue. And extra points for the funny druggie :) All in all, a pretty good episode.
There are a lot of things about this episode that just don't ring true. First Annabeth is on the side of the prostitutes against the Madam. The show explains this as her identifying with women who would do anything to help their family. They were just taken advantage of during a hard time by this female pimp. Why wasn't she totally outraged that this women would risk their entire lives by this behavior? Why wasn't she making the wives confess to the husbands so the spouses could get checked out for diseases? Somehow I just don't buy the way this way played out.
Oh, and Kimberly Elise is a great actress. She has a power about her that would really be able to deliver some great. However, putting her on the meth lab doped up idiot storyline was just a waste.
This show was good. I wouldnt say it's one of my favorites, but it was definately different. I honestly have never heard of moms prostituting themselves in their own homes. Especially soon as they send their kids off to school!!! Yikes!!! I liked this episode. Lets get some good excitement going on like the first one.
