The Axeman Cometh
AIRED:
A near-fatal motorbike accident takes place near Brindabella Homestead. The rider, Warren "Axeman" Hackett, is a heavy metal musician, and is lucky to escape with his life. In fact, were it not for the assistance he received from the household residents, he may not have done so. Instead of being thankful for their care and attention and grateful to be alive, the Axeman repays Mrs. Peacock and the others by playing extremely loud music at all hours and, as if that isn't enough, he decides that he will try a little bit of blackmail here and there just to finish off his recuperation, a decision which, for him at least, proves highly dangerous. Weapons: Poisonous Toadstools, Dental Floss, Candlestick, Tuning Fork, Dog Tags, Gold Record.moreless

  • When a motorbike accident occurs close to Brindabella Homestead, the occupants do all they can for the rider. Later, they wish they hadn't.

An excellent episode where we see heavy metal musician Warren "The Axeman" Hackett have a very nasty motorbike accident close to Brindabella. Mrs. Peacock and the others, quite naturally, do everything they can for him and when he recovers, he 'repays' their attention and generosity by playing loud, obnoxious music st all hours of the day and night. To say they are unimpressed would be an understatement. They will certainly be glad when he leaves. However, he ends up leaving far more quickly than he imagined when he tries his hand at some nasty bits of blackmail which make him a very easy target.

Great work by the cast here and good to see such an excellent performance by guest actor Peter O'Brien as the nasty Warren Hackett.moreless
