CMT Diary is a Country Music Television reality show that allows popular country music entertainers the opportunity to document their lives inside the entertainment industry. CMT Diary takes the viewers both inside the entertainer's home and on the road to give an up close and personal view of the entertainment industry. Entertainers are followed on the road to document the heavy toll of nightly performances, as well as tours that can last several months at a time. Attempting to balance family life is often seen as one of the biggest challenges in the entertainment industry. On CMT Diary, entertainers express their innermost thoughts and reveal many of their experiences since joining the ranks of country music superstardom. Along with the financial and critical success, many entertainers realize that there are many personal sacrifices that come along with it.
