Dan Wheldon died in a Las Vegas race, his car was sponsered by Big Machine Records. Martina McBride completed her cross country train promotion of her new albumcalled "Eleven across America." She went from Los Angeles to New York City with 11 city stops along the way, the promotion was partnered with Pink Together supporting a cure for Breast Cancer. Glen Campbell is releasing his last album "Ghost on the Canvas" and will be going on his last tour since being diagnosed with Alheimers. Miles Teller is stealing the scenes on Footloose as Willard. CMT Chronicles goes back to 2006 when Tim McGraw got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

    Hank Williams Jr and ESPN have part ways after Hank Williams Jr went on a Fox News show and compared Obama to Hitler. Both parties are claiming they ignitiated the seperatation. Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum and Kenny Chesney have been named CMT's Artists of the Year for 2011. Ceremony will air later in the year. Eric Church's wife has given birth to their first child while John Rich's wife is expecting their second. Scotty McCreery has released his first CD and really wants to distinguish himself as a solo artist and not be constantly paired as a duo with fellow idol contestant Lauren Alaina. Taylor Swift is releasing her first DVD/CD combo that features many numbers from her Fearless tour. Keith Urban performed onstage in Australia with fellow Aussie Russel Crowe. Kellie Pickler will be a guest star on the CW series 90210. Lady Antebellum recapped their week on SNL. George Strait has gotten his 84th Top 10 hit with "Here for a Good Time" which is his 89th single. He will be going on tour in 2012 with Martina McBride. Lauren Alaina is releasing her first CD next week - "Wild Flowers." Allison DeMarcus sat down with the stars of the remake of "Footloose" - Kenny Wormald and Julianna Hough.

Reba has met with ABC and has a put pilot commitment for a new comedy to debut next year titled "Malibu Country." She will star and executive produce. George Jones turns 80 this year and is surprised he has made it this far. Insider asks how he feels about being mentioned in Jason Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem" and he says he's happy to be mentioned at all at this age. Luke Bryan is kicking off his first headlining tour for CMT. Faith Hill is back to do the opening number for Sunday Night Football. Carrie Underwood admitted that her husband Mike Fisher likes to use her cosmetics. Jewel and Ty Murray shared the first picture of thier son Case Towns in People Magazine. Seven songs on the new album are co-written by George and his son Bubba. He says he still loves singing and touring after all these years. Kenny Chesney sang in Boston during the Hurricane. Glen Campbell's life is going to become a movie. Jason Aldean celebrated his #1 song - "Dirt Road Anthem." Chris Young also celebrated his fouth #1 single - "Tomorrow" and a gold record. Vince Gill and Sting will join forces for the next edition of CMT Crossroads which is set to air in November. Rascal Flatts new single - "Easy" was turned into a duet and they wanted a great female singer. So, they picked Natasha Bedingfield. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert did a spoof video online announcing they will be doing a duet album but it ended up being they are co-producing Neal McCoy's new album. Taylor Swift had a few celebrity appearances at her recent LA Shows including Ellen Degeneres and Nicki Minaj. Lauren Alaina was proposed to by a super fan at a recent American Idol tour show. The Eli Young Band is celebrating the success of their latest single - "Crazy Girl" and excited for their future success.     Katie Cook provides the latest on the tradegy at Indiana State Fair where the stage Sugarland was about to take collapse onto the crowd from high winds killing 6 and injuring up to 40 people. Sugarland returned to the stage several days later and had a moment of silence followed by an acoustic version of their song "Love" in tribute to those lost and mourning. Lady Antebellum will be on Saturday Night Live on October 1st. Kellie Pickler will have a guest spot on the upcoming season of CW's 90210. Keith Urban will debut his cologne - "Phoenix" this fall. Kenny Chesney broke records by selling out (55K tickets) Meadowland Stadium in New York. Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert teamed up on stage to sing a song of each of theirs at the Capital Hoedown Festival. Dierks Bentley turned down Donald Trump to appear on the upcoming season of "Celebrity Apprentice." Miranda Lambert will have her 4th solo album coming out this fall titled "Four The Record" but before then she will be releasing a album under the band "Pistol Annies" with fellow singers Angelina Presely and Ashley Monroe. Blake Shelton has been busy but trying to spend as much time with his newlywed Miranda before the second season of "The Voice" starts early next year. Devon Grissom of "Sweet Home Alabama" talked to Allison DeMarcus about how the experience of picking a love on National TV. Carrie Underwood and Tony Bennett team up for "It had to be you" while Shania is teaming up with Michael Buble for "White Christmas." Taylor Swift is receiving the ultimate award at the Teen Choice Awards. Reba, Miley Cyrus, John Rich and Meatloaf all participated in the Starkey Foundation Gala to benefit hearing awareness. Jason Aldean enjoyed his latest appearance on CMT Invitation Only. Dolly Parton took cues from her upcoming costar Queen Latifah and did a rap about her assets at a recent concert appearance. Tim McGraw can be seen in the trailer for the upcoming release of "Dirty Girl" which also stars Dwight Yoakam. Lady A released a behind the scenes video online of their latest album as well as the album cover and track listing. Keith Urban was honored when her found out that his hit "Days Go By" will be used to wake the crew of the International Space Station on their last day in space. A Marine is joining in the excitement and has posted a video requesting Luke Bryan to the Marine Ball. Kenny Chesney wrote "You & Tequila", a duet with Grace Potter, while renting a home on the CA coast to rest. Eric Church has liking life as he received his first gold record, a new record coming up title "Chief" and "Homeboy" is the fastest rising single of his career.     Blake Shelton is at a all time high. His hit "Honey Bee" is at it's 3rd week at #1 after only a short 10 week climb to the top position. He just said "I Do" to Miranda Lambert and he's part of the hottest show on TV - "The Voice." His latest album "Red River Blue" is set to hit stores on July 12th. Glen Campbell announced this week that he has Alheimer's Disease. He plans to release one more album and then head out on a farewell tour. Alabama did "Bama-Rising" with the help of Brad Paisley and raised 2 million dollars for the Tornado victims. Luke Bryan and The Doobie Brothers did the latest edition of CMT Crossroads and really enjoyed singing each other's music. Some concert mishaps happened this week, Keith Urban stumbled on his new stage while Tim McGraw kicked a guy out from his show for pushing a lady in front of him. Also, Miranda Lambert came out during one of Blake's tour stops to have the crowd sing him Happy Birthday. Adam Black took us to Garner, NC hometown of Scotty McCreery for this week's Bing Home Town Search. Martina McBride raised $150K during her celebrity auction for the YMCA Female Shelter. The dress she wore at the Grand Ole Opry return special brought in the most - $27K. Kristin Chenoweth is going back to her roots and released her first country single and video.
