Susan tells Hayden that her company represented Tommy Lasorda and got him the Slim Fast account. Tommy Lasorda was the longtime manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers and was the spokesman for Slim Fast in the early 90's. Later, Luther paraphrases a common line of Slim Fast commercials of the era when he says "I had a shake for breakfast a shake for Lunch and now I'm going to have a sensible dinner."
Susan tells her assistant to put "Shaquille" on hold while she is talking to Hayden. She is undoubtedly referring to basketball star Shaquille O'Neal. At the time this episode aired, O'Neal played for the NBA's Orlando Magic.
