Hank Stram was the head coach of the National Football League's Kansas City Chiefs & New Orleans Saints. He was the winning coach in Super Bowl 4. Barry Switzer was head coach of college football's Oklahoma Sooners, winning three national championships. A few years after this episode aired, Switzer coached the NFL's Dallas Cowboys and was the winning coach in Super Bowl 30. George Allen coached the Los Angeles Rams and Washington Redskins, appearing in Super Bowl 7. Just a few months after this episode aired, Allen came out of a long retirement to coach Long Beach State University, a school that had not even fielded a football team the previous year. Allen coached the team for one season before he died. Not long afterwards, the school stopped playing football.
