  • The Episode Was Very Different But Very Good.

    9.8
I thought that 'Lost At Sea' was a very different episode from many because it had a very interesting storyline, i mean having 'Yumi' "lost at sea" was exciting because it meant that yumi really could have been killed of.

I am myself a very big Lyoko fan but some episodes of 'Code Lyoko' are a little stupid but i still love em'.

I also liked the episode titled 'Echoes' because like 'Lost At Sea' it had a very different storyline, when they had the flash-backs from seasons 1, 2, 3, & 4, it showed just how many missions they have been on.moreless
  • a one sided y/u moment, filler.

great action and teenage angst but where is the plot!? the only thing that can be classifed as plot is the new way of tracking william. the side story of yumi's little brother like milly and wants to find a story for her is cute. but i wonder what he was thinking stealing her diary. but i guess to wasn't ready meant to be thought out there far. yumi chases him down and he runs into odd. drops the book withing knowing and takes off with yumi on his heels. blah blah blah to know the rest. does everything have a diary in this school. ulrich, sissi, yumi and those are the only one's we know about. summing up this episode. sister brother fight, secret exposed to the other character (yumi still likes ulrich. well we know that but ulrich wasn't so sure.) life in trouble makes you think about how silly the fight was, life saved and fight is over with a hug. that all is fine i give it a 7 out of 10 with the overuse story line (yet every thing has been done with other shows) and such. but i want some plot! why does xana still need aelita? can there every get william back? will ulrich and yumi admit they like each other!? (okay that one not plot but i want to know!) down with the fillers! down with the fillers!down with the fillers!down with the fillers!down with the fillers!moreless
  • yumi's brother stole her diary and then lost it.

    9.2
a very unimportant episode as nothing much happend exept we discovereed that william now has a sub.the episode didnt exactly have a "world crisis race against time" run to it as the most dangerous thing that happened was that yumi got lost in the digital sea and no-one could find her btu then william came along and started fighting her just as the "lyoko warriors" came along in the skid!!we also leanr in this episode that if the mini-subs are seperate from the skid for too long they run out of power really quickly. we also learn that yumi and her brother used to have a secret morse code sort of language!moreless
  • but a very sweet filler at that. =]

When Hiroki steals Yumi's diary and loses it, Yumi becomes extremely upset with him. It turns out that Ulrich had picked up the diary after Hiroki dropped it. This reminded me of The Log Book episode, where almost the same situation happened to Ulrich when Sissy found his diary. So Ulrich owed Yumi the favor of not reading it. It was a nice reference. We do get a glimpse of a photo of Ulrich that Yumi had stashed in the book. This was a glimmer of hope for the Yumi and Ulrich couple fans. After Yumi's Nav Skid gets separated from the others in the digital sea, she gets some time to gather her thoughts and remember how mad she is at Hiroki and all the good times they had together. Definitely a "don't know what you've got till it's gone" moment. This is a very special episode between Hiroki and Yumi, and a nice moral to go with it.moreless
  • After a huge fight with Hiroki, Yumi gets lost in the network. Utterly alone, she has time to think about what she said to him. Meanwhile the rest of the gang search desperately for her before she's gone for good!moreless

A great episode overall! In order to get Milly to notice him, Hiroki tries to get a huge scoop by stealing his sister's diary. But, when the diary becomes lost, Yumi threatens to never forgive him. Ulrich wants to help as he found the diary earlier, but everything backfires when all the pages of the diary go missing.

Meanwhile, on a trip to test out the new sonar program for the Skid, the navigation system gets bugged up. After fighting off some Congers, Ulrich and Odd return, but not Yumi! Having no other options, they come back to earth while Aelita and Jeremie desperately searches for her. Meanwhile, Yumi's NavSkid is almost out of power and William looms not too far away.

It's nice to see a more common day in the lives of our heroes without some silly XANA plot intervening during an already "abnormal" day.

I think that my favorite part of the entire episode was Yumi realizing just how harsh she was with Hiroki. Great character development for both of them. Although hearing her sounding defeated ("It's all over. What's he waiting for?") was, to me at least, quite a shock. She truly sounded as though she'd given up and was ready to, well, die. That's not something we hear to often from her.

Of course, another one of the best parts of this episode...a new reason to hope Yumi and Ulrich's relationship will not stop at "just friends". Yes, I may be a William-Yumi shipper, but I love cannon too. :)

I think the only drawbacks this episode had was that parts seemed a bit rushed (the battle with Xaniam for example). Now I know having William in every episode much of the time will get old after a while, but I wanted to see more of that ship in action. Oh well. I guess we have to save some of that for future episodes.

Overall, I give this episode an 9\10moreless
