When Sissi's baton hits Jim on the head, the red strips on his head band are missing.
Odd says "ouch" before he even touches the ground in Lyoko.
Odd uses his shield ability at one point during his battle with the four Blocks, yet never uses the ability throughout the entire first season of the show.
In "Franz Hopper", Jeremie claimed that they all turned on the supercomputer together. But, here, he's shown turning it on by himself.
Sissi: (about Ulrich) Where is he going? I'm sure there's another girl behind all this! Odd: No, look. It's not a girl! It's Kiwi, my dog! Sissi: Huh? (Then she faints)
Odd: Hey! That's not fair. How come he gets to be a samurai? That's so much cooler! Jeremie: I have no idea why. Maybe the computer just reads into your own subconscious desires, and projects them onto your digital incarnation. Odd: I don't dream about giant purple cats!
Yolande: Nothing too serious, just a minor electrical shock and some superficial burns. Ulrich: (to Jeremie) You wanted some juice, well you got some.
(About to reactivate the supercomputer) Jeremie: I hope I'm not going to reget this in a minute.
Jim: That night, well, I was quietly enjoying a waffle with maple syrup by my campfire, when I was attacked by a vicious beaver!
(Before Yumi enters the gym, Ulrich is the only one attending the martial arts class) Jim: How are you all? I'm happy to see so many of you here tonight.
Jeremie: Tell me if you can keep a secret?

French Title: Le réveil de XANA (Partie 1)
The events of this two-part episode take place one year before the first season episode, "The Trap."
Odd and Ulrich discover by accident that the towers can serve as gateways to the other regions on Lyoko.
When Aelita first awakens, she has no memory of who she is.
After Jim finishes telling his story, Ulrich tells him that he should just not talk about it. Therefore, this is why every time Jim tells that an experience reminds him of a job he used to have, and people question him, he now just says, "I'd rather not talk about it."
There are several references in this episode to the original unaired Garage Kids mini pilot. Odd is a new student at Kadic. Yumi attempting to pin Ulrich on the gym mat, and then the two blushing is similar to the scene in GK when Yumi blushes after she pinned Ulrich. Odd calling Aelita a "virtual chick" is similar to him referring to the Kadic female students as "cool chicks" when he inquires about them to Jeremie in the original pilot. Finally, when Jeremie said "Tell me if you can keep a secret?" to Ulrich, is a play on Yumi's line "Odd, can you keep a secret?" in Garage Kids.
Kankrelats and Bloks are the first monsters that X.A.N.A. sends out to attack Aelita and the gang.
Running gag: Jeremie making a complicated scientific analysis about something on Lyoko, only to have someone say, "In English?".
This is actually the first time Sissi ever discovers the factory, Aelita (aka Maya), and the supercomputer.
A vending machine was the first real-world object affected by X.A.N.A., which he used to send an electrical shock though Jeremie.
Out of the original gang, Ulrich and Jeremie are the only ones who knew one another before the discovery of Lyoko.
Jeremie found the supercomputer while searching the factory for mechanical parts for a robot that he was building.
Kiwi was Jeremie and Ulrich's "guinea pig" that was supposed to be the first being virtualized into Lyoko.
Jeremie theorizes that the look and personas of the different warriors in Lyoko seem to have been created by the supercomputer reading into their subconscious desires, and projecting it on to their digital self.
When Jeremie first meets Aelita, he gives her the name, "Maya."
Odd's hair was originally slicked back, when he first came to Kadic.
The Forest region was the first sector that the Lyoko warriors were materialized into.
The first person to be virtualized onto Lyoko was Odd. Ulrich then soon followed.
This and "XANA Awakens Pt II" are the prequel episodes of Code: Lyoko.
