    • The KND don't know what deodorant is in this episode, but in "Operation: F.U.T.U.R.E.," Numbuh 4 had a cell phone disguised as deodorant. Obviously they would have had to know what deodorant was in order to use it as a disguise for a machine, right?

    • Down in the abandoned art room, when the DCFDTL startle Numbuh 3 by coming behind her, she drops the crayons, then when she turns around she has them in her hands again.

      Numbuh 3: Run? From what?
Safety Patrol Officer: Uh, from us.
Numbuh 3: ... Why would I run from you?
Safety Patrol Officer: Cause we're about to arrest you.
Numbuh 3: (really confused) And... that's bad, right?
Safety Patrol Officer: Pretty bad, yeah.
Numbuh 3: Oh, ok. (suddenly runs) AHHHH!

    • Numbuh 2: Let me see that crayon.
(Numbuh 3 gives him the crayon)
Numbuh 2: (smells and licks it) Hmmm, clay dust, paper maché... and a hint of, boogers- AWWW!! Man, why does some people shove everything under their nose?! (turns around and sees Numbuh 3 shoving a crayon on her nose)

    • Numbuh 2: It's up to you to solve this case Numbuh 3! Go find go Joe Balooka, he'll help you! And don't forget to wear the hat, it'll make you look cool and detectivey!

    • Numbuh 2: (thinks) this safety patrol business was fishier than a week-long sardine sandwich; and I wasn't eating eat. At least not without mustard...

    • Cheerleader: So, like, how old are you?
Numbuh 2: How old do I look?
Numbuh 5: (yanks him away and taking him downstairs) Let's go loverboy!
Numbuh 2: Hey! For your information, the ladies dig younger men.

  • Allusions

    • With great hats, comes great responsibility: Spider-Man
This sentence, told by numbuh 3, is based on the famous line from the Spider-Man comics- "With great power comes great responsibility"

    • The Upper Crust: The Who
When the band arrive and one of it's members says it's name to the DCFDTL, they ask "The who?", and the band member answer that they're not 'The Who', they're 'The Upper Crust'.
The Who is an English rock band that first formed in 1964 and grew to be considered one of the greatest and most influential bands in the world.

    • The Crayon Kid in Operation: C.R.I.M.E. who was believed to be able to see the future and draws what he sees in crayon parodies the character Isaac Mendez from the NBC show Heroes. He does it the same way as Isaac; his pupils disappear when he draws, just like what happens to Isaac when he paints the future.

    • The plot of Operation: C.R.I.M.E. is akin to the plot of the movie Minority Report, where the police use a team of people with precognitive powers to capture criminals before they commit their crimes.
