  • Certainly one of the better episodes, albeit a bit sad.

    9.2
So, I watched this episode today and I really loved it. We see a different side to Lizzie. We've always know how much "in love" with Nigel, Lizzie was, and we've always seen her try to get Nigel to take a break from his work. This episode shows us just what Lizzie thought of their relationship, and what Nigel thought as well.

With Nigel always overworking, completely ignoring Lizzie at times, we can clearly understand that even someone like Lizzie would get tired of dealing with Nigel.

What I suppose many people didn't expect was Nigel's reaction to Lizzie breaking up with him in the end. He was actually very upset, and Rachel's presence certainly didn't make things better. The episode ends with that.

I was actually pretty upset with the break-up, but we did get to see more of Numbuh 362 and her personality. It seems like she may have a crush of some sort of Nigel.

  • ending is sad

Lizzie realizes how inconsiderate Nigel can be when the new treehouse setting falls in love with him. And so in the end of this episode, Nigel and Lizzie break up {in what turns out to be the last appearance of her in the show}.

I liked it, I liked the "cliffhanger" at the end of act 1, I liked the emotion near the end {in which it is almost stated Rachel likes Nigel}, and the scene with them breaking up is touching {though I think it is overreacting using such a strong word as "love", especially considering their age}. • more than great! It made me cry... T.T (*spoilers*)

    9.9
It starts with a phone call, he calls her... Lizzie is fixing herself for her sister's wedding, and Nigel is in his way to the wedding on his car, suddenly he gets a mission and he seems to have time to make it... so he goes to save the sweater of sweet from stickybeard and all those cruddy pirates, after a huge persecution and getting the sweater back, he remembers he has to go to the wedding, but he gets a lil' late... after he promises Lizzie to go to the reception, he has to go to the moon base to a mission that turns to be in a sandwich night, Rachel says she must talk to him about "the splintercell" after he decides to stay a while, and they think numbuh 65.3 has something to do with the splintercell, then he remembers the reception and goes back... Lizzie finds out he was eating somewhere else, Nigel wants to make it up to her, so he takes her and starts dancing tango with her, apologizing for everything he had done and then the computer tells him that numbuh 65.3 is right behind him so Nigel attacks and it turns out to be Lizzie's grandma, after that numbuh 362 calls him and tells him that numbuh 65.3 is going to the airport, and she wants him to go with her, so he goes.

Lizzie goes to look for him to the treehouse after she figures out that he ran away with another girl, the treehouse keeps Lizzie inside without letting her go.

Lizzie calls Nigel to ask him why the hell did he order to keep her locked in the treehouse, after he notices something is wrong he tells numbuh 362 that he must go to save Lizzie, numbuh 362 orders him to stay but he says he made up his mind already and he leaves... when he arrives the computer's treehouse expresses her feelings for Nigel and she wants to destroy Lizzie, so they run away and the treehouse starts following them until they reach a precipice and then the treehouse says that if she cannot have Nigel then nobody would and takes them both on it's arms she programs for auto destroying and after a long speech from Lizzie where she says all the things she doesn't like about Nigel, Nigel finally gets rid of it and helps Lizzie out. The treehouse explodes and he hugs Lizzie congratulating her for the speech, but then she says it wasn't a speech, that it was completely truth and she breaks up with him and leaves... then numbuh 362 arrives and tells him that she will help him to rescue Lizzie, but he tells her they broke up, so he asks her what happened with numbuh 65.3 and she tells Nigel that numbuh 65.3 wasn't part of the splintercell and she asks him to go out for eating sandwiches, but he refuses so tells him that if he needs something he knows where to find her and she leaves, he stays crying staring at nothing, then you can see the two shadows from operation: W.H.I.T.E.H.O.U.S.E. saying that now their plan worked he's ready.

for me, the kewlest episode I've seen this far...moreless

  • QUOTES (4)

  • NOTES (4)

  • ALLUSIONS (3)

    • The way the computer looks out from a red screen seems to be an allusion to 2001: A Space Odyssey.

    • Computer: Agnes Again?

The behavior of the treehouse computer is similar to that of the supercomputer Agnes towards James Elwood in the Twilight Zone episode "From Agnes With Love".

    • There are two refrences to the 2004 Pixar movie The Incredibles:

      1. When Nigel and Lizzie are initially talking, it's similar to the opening scenes where both Nigel and Mr. Incredible run off on missions and are late to a wedding
      2. The Candy Pirates arguing about which direction to take is similar to the argument the Incredibles have toward the climax of the movie.
