Operation: INTERVIEWS was great, but not so interesting in the introduction or when the interviewer was still talking to grown-up Numbuh 5. The story started like any other CAKED episode, with Sector V chasing the Delightful Children for their cake. The story gets exciting when Sector V once again fail to retrieve the cake. Numbuh 362 assigns Sector W for the cake-retrieving mission. For me, the fact that the Delightful Children had their 'movie' in Sector V's treehouse disturbs me. Right after they made their escape from the first scene, the go to the treehouse and shoot. Then, Numbuh 74.239 appears and tells them to go to this place to do this thing. The Sector discovers they had a lot of competition for the Scavenger Hunt. Then later, when Sector W and V meet at Father's mansion to get the pipe, Numbuh 363 overreacts when Numbuh 1 touches him, which I think was much too much. Father wakes up and chases both Sectors. When Father was defeated, Sonya asks Numbuh 363 if he was fine, and all he could say was,"I won!" or something like that. I think that was very selfish of him, and so did Sonya. She gave all their stuff to Sector V and let them win. But the others had to stay to battle Father if he gained consciousness. Numbuh 74.239 uses booger transportation to travel to the place where Numbuh 1 thought the cake was. He thought it was beautiful, but Numbuh 74.239 revealed that the cake was just a simple cupcake. The thing he was looking at was a spaceship, which to me didn't look like a cake when I first saw it. Numbuh 74.239 told him that he was the best operative on the planet, and so he was chosen to join the Galactic KND. No one must know, says Numbuh 74.239. But Numbuh 74.239 recomissioned his parents so they could see their son go. But the other Sector V surprisingly found where they were. Because Numbuh 1 asked, Numbuh 74.239 let him say his goodbyes to them. There are a lot of tearjerkers in this scene. I myself have cried(I'm weird, right?)But as they finished bidding each other farewell, an alarm sounded that Father was coming. They said their final goodbyes as a team and Numbuh 1 left with the others. When Father got there, it was empty. Later, it was revealed that the interviewer was actually Father. I laugh at the thought of Father searching for Numbuh 1 through the years. And in the end, Numbuh 1 came back. If there was only such a short scavenger hunt list, how could there be so many things? There were some flaws, but the plot was good.moreless
  • It might not answer all our questions, but no ending ever does.

I must admit that it was a very nice series finale. It was a bit semtimental, but not too sentimental. I feel that the live action sequences of the Kids Next Door as adults were a very nice touch as they showed that even if you have to grow up, you can still always be young at heart. The ending almost left me in tears. It might not have answered all of our questions about the show, but no good story ever does. I think they deliberatly left some questions unanswered to have us draw our own conclusions. In any case, stay young at heart.moreless
  • The Finale

    10
The Delightful Children From Down the Lane have a new birthday cake, only this time, it is a test for all the Kids Next Door operatives and villains to find various things. Turns into a scavenger hunt. Numbah One begins questioning his commitment to the KND during the hunt, but soon he ends up winning single-handedly, and gets a big prize: he is chosen from all the kids next door operatives to go in to the Galactic Kids Next Door. He shares tearful goodbyes with his friends because this means he can never return to Earth.

A tearful ending with a good plot and some good humor. A+moreless
  • WHY! WHY'd IT HAVE TO END!?

    10
I miss codename kids Next Door already. the show was the type of shoe you could watch in the summer all day long, it was epic, great score, and the story line was raw. This episode it defiantly a 10/10. I didn't get the ending sort of, so they finally got rid of Father> oh well, I loved the live action sequences, those were funny. I can't believe it's gone, oh well. This could have been a little bit more epic though don't you think. It was better then the series finale for Jimmy Neutron (Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 3), I loved this episode, one of the best series finale I've seen in a long time.moreless

    • Numbuh 1: (while flying in a S.C.A.M.P.E.R) Numbuh 5, find the nearest item on the list! 3 and 4, get all the weapons so we're ready to rock. And Numbuh 2......
      Numbuh 2: (happily) Yes, sir!?
Numbuh 1: Steer the ship. We're about to hit a mountain.
Numbuh 2 (runs to controls): AHHHHHH!

    • Numbuh 1: (to #3) "YES! Thank you for the memories! Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to talk about something other than...cake?" (stopping at the sight of the movie set)(angrily) "You...Kids Next Door, battle stat-Ah!" (captured by green fire)
Father: "No, no, no! CUT! You Kids Next Door are not in my script! Ugh! On the other hand, you might just be what this picture needs."
Numbuh 1: "Father. What are you doing in our treehouse?"
Father: "I'm merely getting in touch with my more artistic side to create the mega-blockbuster smash of the century!"
Delightful Children: "...And we're the stars! It's called, 'Let Us Eat Cake'! Just think, soon jealous kids all over the world will see us enjoying our delicious cake on the big screen! And what better backdrop to savor it in than your stupid treehouse!" (laughing)
Numbuh 4: "Oh, man! It ain't gonna be one of those chick flicks, is it?"
Father: "ENOUGH! We must film before the muse escapes me." (ushering in the Delightful Children) "Okay, my stars. In this scene, you will unveil the cake. I wanna feel the passion, between you and its scrumdillyumminess. The electricity! THE LOVE!!! ...Quiet on the set! Annnnd...action!

    • Numbuh 5: Look at you. Best operative on the planet. And to think, I had to convince you not to quit this morning.
Numbuh 1: If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be in the Kids Next Door in the first place.
Numbuh 5: Oh please. They woulda found you eventually. I mean…these guys did. (pause) Look, are you sure you wanna do this? You don't hafta go.
Numbuh 1: You know I can't pass this up, Abby. You're only a kid once, right? (takes off sunglasses) So this means you're in charge of Sector V again.
Numbuh 5: (backs away) No, no no, nuh uh uh uh uh uh!
Numbuh 1: I'm not giving you a choice this time. Who else is gonna take care of the guys?
      Numbuh 5: But - !
Numbuh 1: Abby, we both know you're the only one on this team with any real common sense. While I'm screaming that we're being invaded by tiny, kid-eating leeches falling from the sky, you're the one telling me it's only snowing. You were a way better leader than I ever was. (gives her sunglasses) So lead Sector V.
      Numbuh 5: But…it won't be Sector V...without you.
Numbuh 1: It was before, and it will be after.

    • Numbuh 1: Alright guys listen up, even if we never see each other again just promise me one thing, that you'll never grow up. Even if you're 100 years old and don't remember a thing about our times together, you'll still be a kid at heart, ok?

    • Adult Hoagie: While I learned my lesson about stealing from nerds a long time ago, it appears Stickybeard hasn't.

    • Interviewer: (about the DCFDTL) So they got away?
Adult Hoagie: You'd have to be PLANE crazy to think so! (laughs) Get it? PLANE crazy, they escaped on a plane!

    • Numbuh 1: Kids Next Door!...Goodbye.

    • Numbuh 1: (talking about the Delightful Children after they fall into a giant toilet) I've always wondered how they went to the bathroom together.

    • Interviewer: So, what happened next?
Adult Hoagie: Well. suffice it to say, Father wasn't happy finding us in his house.
      (Cut to flashback)
Father: I am not happy finding you kids in my house!

    • Near, Far....

When the Delightful Children are sitting on the bow of their cruise ship talking about their cake, the way they hold out their arms is similar to the "I'm Flying" pose of Titanic fame.
