  • Operation: T.H.E-F.L.Y. A small house fly gets into the Treehouse, and visits each Kids Next Door Operative's room. Operation: P.O.I.N.T. The KND go follow the teenagers up to "The Point", where it you go up a boy, and come domoreless

    Operation: T.H.E-F.L.Y.

(This episode has no talking, but whatever the scene or mood, the background music always fits it.)

The KND return to the Treehouse with a beautifully ornate Samurai helmet, and a small house fly gets in as the doors to the hangar close.

After each operative goes to their own room, Numbuh 1 takes the helmet into his room and starts playing Samurai, brandishing a yard stick like a katana. The fly follows him in and Numbuh 1 is so disgusted by it he activates a vacuum to suck the air (and the fly) out of his room.

The fly emerges in Numbuh 2's room, where the young mechanic gleans inspiration from the bug and develops a personal flying unit based on the fly's anatomy. He then performs an aerodynamic ballet with the bug in the hangar, but the fly leaves him and continues on through the air duct into Numbuh 3's room.

Numbuh 3 is holding a tea party with her stuffed animals, and includes the fly in the festivities, but the fly isn't interested and goes back into the airduct.

This time the fly winds up in Numbuh 4's room, where the boy tries to squash it.

The fly goes to Numbuh 5's room, where all the other operatives arrive to give their say in what should be done with it.

Numbuh 2 wants it for perfecting his machine, Numbuh 3 wants it back at the tea party, Numbuh 4 says squish it, and Numbuh 1 mouths "shoo".

In the end, Numbuh 5 lets it go out the window, but the fly goes to the Delightful Manor and delivers images of the KND to the Delightful Children.

    Operation: P.O.I.N.T.

Convinced that Teenagers are bent on growing up faster so they can boss kids around that much sooner, Numbuh 1 leads the team on a mission to destroy the presumed "Adultification"-facility on "The Point", where all the teenagers have congregated.

Once the team finds the Point's location, they send a signal for their orbiting Condiment Cannon to bombard the place with mustard.

Things go awry and the team are captured and taken to the Point, which turns out to be a roller-skating rink. Before the mistake can be corrected the Cannon fires and destroys the rink. As punishment for destroying the roller rink, the teens hold their weekend roller-skating night in the KND Treehouse.moreless
  • My favorite episode!

This episode is one I really love! The first one is so-so, but the latter episode, the one about "the Point", is my 100% favorite.

I first saw this episode at my grandfather's house on January 8, 2003, the first time this episode aired. I liked it, but then I had weird nightmares a year later.

The same year, imagination corrupted my mind. I remember it as I sat in the car one day when I heard a song on the radio: (gulp) Vitamin C's "Graduation". I hear it until 2005. When I heard it in 2006, it was different and that's how I got SICK of hearing that idiotic version of that song.

This song, in it's original form, is #25 on my top 50 favorite songs and this episode is #2 of my favorite episodes.

Eh, who knew? I'd know it.moreless
  • This episode reminds me of the 2004 film "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow", you know where the scientists disappear? The main character of the show thinks teenagers are disappearing.moreless

This episode reminds me of Kerry Conran's 2004 film, "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow", one of my favorite films.

The first main character reminds me of Joseph Sullivan, aka Sky Captain, the main character of the film, who was played by Jude Law.

The second main character reminds me of Dex, the scientist in "Sky Captain."

The female characters reminds me of Polly Perkins in "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow".

And the guards remind me of Angelina Jolie's character in "Sky Captain" and the mysterious "The Boss" remind me of the villain of "Sky Captain", the mysterious Dr. Totenkopf.

    I love this episode!

Oh, and by the way, the way the first main character thinks that teenagers are disappearing from some place called "The Point" is a reference to the scientists disappearing in "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" by Dr. Totenkopf's henchmen.

I am thinking of combining some elements from this episode, by writing a story, but with humans being converted to aliens, and people disappearing. I'm calling it "Point." It's a "Sky Captain"-esque science-fiction story.

    Pretty cool, huh?moreless
