this is a very good episode in which we see a father killed by his wife. who now is sick. and her kids have to look after her. her son has had enough of looking after her. and we learn why. she killed her husband because he was having a affair with some one else. we see that she was very abusevie to her husband and her son wanted to go to the dance and she wouldnt let him. a fight breaks out and she kills her husband and gets her son to help cover up his muder. its a very sad episode in which im glad she is arrested but because of the diesese she has she cant always remember everything. its a moving scene where we see the ghost of the victim looking at the police. and then the music plays. which is very moving.
A widow in her fifties is having flashbacks of the 1990 murder of her husband, believed to be killed whilst seeing a hooker. The family were suppossed to be a happy church going family, or so it seemed. The son cared for his mother, the daughter had left.
In a gut wrenching episode of how things are'nt always how they seem, the matriach whilst in a state of dementia reveals how she killed her husband in 1990. The son reveals how his father had been having an affair with the church organist and how his mother, a two-faced control freak had really freaked out! So much so that she killed her husband and co-oerced the teenage son into dumping the body. With the mother placed into custody, the son is reunited with his sister who had fled eight years earlier, not knowing her mother had Alzheimers. The reuinion between them is nothing short of emotional in the extreme. Church going people? Did'nt act like it!
I enjoyed watching this episode very much. It was the second episode I have seen and the first with Justin Chambers. I really enjoy Cold Case and think that not only is the cast great but the writers and the people that make the show happen are also fantastic. I must have this 6th sense because it was like I could guess correctly 10 minute in who the killer was due to the interaction between all of the characters. I like that the main character Rush is very emotionally involved with the cases. I have noticed that her partners keep asking why she wants to work unsolved cases and her response "cos they've been waiting longer", just goes to show that we the viewers are in for a treat in the years to come.
One of the better episodes. after having watched episode 3 i thought about stopping to watch the show at all.
but i was surprised about the story, and the characters.
not that there is much development of the main characters, we do not know anything about them, but
the story unfolds nicely and has some astounding twists.
strangely, in 2 from 4 shows we have very similar characters (the angry grown up daughter of the victim, looking even similar. i wonder, could it be the same actress.
