  • The sixth season begins with Lilly and the team investigating the 1973 murder of a college football star on the eve of a big game.

    7.5
"Cold Case" has managed to get the season started off on the right foot once again. One of the reasons why I liked this episode is because there are no true "good guys" here. While it's true that some people have commited worse crimes than others, everybody is guilty of something. The tutor who writes papers for the star football player, "Bad Moon" McShane, who stands up for his fellow players, but also takes money and allows the tutor to write papers for him and the doctor who works closely with the booster in the steroid conspiracy. A good episode.moreless
  • Same old same old.

    8.5
Even though it was the season premiere the writers stuck to the original concept of the show: flashbacks, investigation, soundtrack, nothing more nothing less. Of course that is the Cold Case pattern but it gets boring after a while. That would be great if once in a while the writers spruced it up a little.

The only new element is the possible romance between Lilly and Saccardio. Personnaly I don't really like him - Kite, come back! and just like always in Cold Case with Lilly's relationships we always feel like it's not important. That's good to have a show focused on great investigations but it's also good to be able to figure out the characters' personnal life. It's been a while now that we only see Rush, Valens and Co at the office and that we don't learn anything personnal about them. As a result each episode is nothing less than the repetition of the previous one.

I hope it's gonna change in the future.moreless
  • Great classic episode!

Bobby Cannavale is like where Scotty was once when we first met the latter. Hot-headed, cocky, arrogant, all rolled up into one. And that Scotty has since kind of mellowed out, as he has a sister-like relationship with Lily. Trying to get used to him being the potential love interest of Lily. Well, the scene didn't turn out the way that you would have expect it too. As the killer wasn't whom you thought it was of that young jock that got killed. This show never ceases to amaze me. Just when you figure it out, there is a twist to it!moreless

Just what I expected from this show. But that's not a bad thing. We really didn't have a cliffhanger to end last year so the gang just started with a new case. The all American football team with a secret. I really enjoyed the script and it didn't have to many angles or suspects. Just enough to keep us guessing. But as a whole, it really gives you a pause to think about the issue of steriods and how many lives it's touch and even destroyed. Now the meeting up again with Eddie and Lil, was perfect. Subtle, but not so subtle.moreless
  • I liked this one, it was cleverly done, the only problem I had with it was the swimsuites looked to modern at the pool party scene, I dunno maybe not, but it just seemed a little to modern of bathing suites for back in the 70'smoreless

    9.0
Overall the episode was great, slided right along and it was interesting when they were expecting it to be one guy and then it was the next guy, turns out it was the Pratt, the jock's mentor/father. I think this episode was cleverly done and well written. This ep Glory Days I guess had more mostalgia in it than other episodes, I don't know why that is, but it was great. I think this is going to be another great season of Cold Case, and I guess I'm looking forward to this new season, I'm sure there some great episodes coming.moreless
