The team re-investigates the 1958 case of a newlywed real estate developer when new evidence suggests his body might have been moved after he was killed.
  • An appreciation.

One of the things that's always amazed me in regards to "Cold Case" is the ways evidence re-emerges. Tonight's episode was prime example, a murder that happened in 1958 is reopened because a dying woman is trying to put her "house" in order and when her information is explored bloody glass is found at what's thought to be the crime scene. I've also always appreciated the interrogations scenes, but especially tonight with the racial tones of current time versus back in 1958. I LOVED the twist that Regina and Julian were siblings. But I was thrilled with the evidence of how far we have come as a society as we watched Julian's widow and daughter embrace their newly found extended family. Even more was watch Lil bridge the gap with her father over Chinese food and a game of chess.moreless

One thing that a liked about this particular episode was that it kept me guessing. I assumed I had everything figured out, but as I watched I realized that I was not even close. That's not something that happens very often. Well written scripts is one of the reasons why I am a fan of "Cold Case" and this episode is no exception. One other positive note about this episode is that while it did focus on Lilly's personal life, that aspect of the story did not get in the way of the main story and did not overshadow it.moreless
