  • A retired detective comes to the station and tells Lilly about the one case that has haunted him throughout his career: the death of twelve year-old Danny Finch, who died the day after Apollo 11 landed on the moon.moreless

Though I wasn't born yet when Apollo 11 landed on the moon, the Apollo 11 landing sticks out in my mind because my brother was born just five days before. So I was somewhat eager to see this episode. While I did like the episode, it was not perfect. One flaw is the opening scene. Danny Finch is seen at his home working on his project when Neil Armstrong steps out onto the moon. However, later in the episode at the rocket launch, Finch and his friends listen to the landing on the radio. Finch was in two places simultaneously?moreless
  • A very good episode and one of my favourites from the series.

    9.0
A former detective asks Lilly to reopen the case of Danny Finch, a 12 year old boy who appeared in 1969 death in the river. Although at first Lil seems not to be very convinced decides to open it.

This episode shows us how a brilliant kid tries to help three children from his neighbourhood to release a rocket and he gets inside The Rocket Boys becoming a bit popular in just a couple of days to his new friends. Of course, and it's easy to guess who the killer was, the leader of the team is not very happy with Danny because he discovers he's braver than him.

This episode remind me a little bit to "Stand By Me" film. A very good episode in which we discover Lilly has "her case", case she has to solve.moreless
  • Really a touching episode!

    9.0
A retired detective that has come back to the station. To solve one more case, that has haunte him. Since the first man on the moon in 1969, with Neil Armstrong. Well, a young twelve-year old boy by the name of David was murdered. But the kicker is, how he was in two places at one time. Really seems confusing to begin with. But the retired detective, who seems to be bonding with Lily. We see a softer side of Danny. Sure he can be a jerk at times. But it was time that we see a rare side of him. How he needs friends, whether he thinks that he does or not. How they are for him, despite his hot temper.moreless
  • Nice link.

    7.0
I liked how the script linked Danny's obsession with rockets and space with the landing on the moon. I appreciated showing Danny's ackwardness as well as his need to belong and have friends. Lilly getting the assistance from Mack I thought was a nice side bar. Mack still being haunted by Danny's murder and Lilly also having that one case that still haunts her. I really like how Nick took over the final interview of Bobby Kent. He really knew the right buttons to push, I think at least in my own opinion, at some point in his life he was where Bobby Kent was in regards to hero worship.moreless
