  • When developers drain a pond near an established suburban neighborhood, skeletal remains are found. The remains are soon identified as those of Roy W. Dunn, a door-to-door salsman for the Stanley Brush Company who has been missing since 1967.moreless

This episode had me sitting on the edge of my seat for the entire hour. Episodes like this are why I watch "Cold Case." The small town, nineteen sixties setting was perfect for the storyline and Bailey Chase was absolutely brilliant as "Roy Dunn," the murdered brush salesman. What an exceptional actor! He certainly brought this character to life, molding Roy Dunn into a character the viewer could relate to as chivalrous, quietly heroic, gracious, genuine, sincere, and totally believable. I'm no fortune teller, but my guess is that we will be seeing a lot more of Mr. Chase in film and TV!moreless
  • Death of a traveling salesman.

A traveling salesman is found murdered at the bottom of a drained pond. As Lil and the team look into the murder of Roy Gunn, they learned very little in regards to personal information, however, they do learn that he had quite a way with the ladies on his route. As they dig deeper they learn Roy's got an FBI file and a past that puts him in Sing Sing for manslaughter. They learn that he went to jail trying to protect a batter woman. On his route he encounters a family that needs help and Roy wasn't a man who walked away even when he's caught in a compromising position. As it turns out that Roy uncovered a dark secret it cost him his life.

Love poor Nick kicked out of his own apartment. Lil reaches out to her father again.moreless

This is a good episode of "Cold Case." It was entertaining and the performances are very good. However this episode suffers from a lack of a compelling storyline. Alomst from the beginning it was obvious who murdered Roy. The hints are dropped throughout the investigation. Other episode of this show did a good job at keep the viewer guessing what may have happened but there was none of that here. A revelation about one of the principal characters at the end was well done however, (I certainly didn't see that coming) I just wish there was more of that here.moreless
